Well, to be fair they do the same thing with this model's base price. Still though you are maybe looking at 28K for a Sport S where I live in TX.

I think he means because the value doesn't go to 11.

It is indeed super stripped out and will come with no AC at that price.

I mean.. can't you buy a Wrangler Unlimited for like $26ishk? This still seems fairly expensive actually.

What MPG does it make doing 80-85 on SH-130?

I want this car so bad. I'm tired of pickup size and weight bloat and even going from a Ranger to a Frontier was a huge size increase for me. I want a car but I find myself always needing a pickup at least 2 or 3 times a month to do mundane things or move something for work that is super dirty.

What a shame. I wanted a big improvement to this truck but all I see so far is a sheet metal refresh. The cab staying the same means this will never be an option for me. I hated how low the seats were because I am 6'4" and the back seat room is very disingenuous because it only works well if you have no toes at all.

I think Ford will make such a big deal out of aluminum bodied trucks and cars that GM and Dodge/Ram will have to follow suit to compete. Ford is absolutely the best in the industry at showcasing differences between their trucks and the competition.

It isn't just the Tacoma. My Nissan Frontier does the same kind of nanny feature.

Are we expecting a new actual drivetrain/model or just a Tundra-esque body panel update?

Tacomas are ridiculously expensive both new and used. FWIW, when I bought my 2010 Nissan Frontier SE 2WD I paid $20,975 +TT&L. I love this truck and rather than more powerful I hope the next model has the same power in a more efficient package. I get about 23-25 highway depending on the speed I drive so it does well.
