@all: Thanks guys. He truly is a fine speciman, and has always been such a good role model for manhood. I love him!

A few years ago, I wrote a column on abortion for a newspaper in Australia. It was a personal piece on my own two abortions, and how I was sick and tired of the dominant idea in culture that women had to apologise for their choices.

@vee: LOL! I love Alan Smithee's body of work.

@QuakerOates: I see it more like Niki S up thread. It seems like Lindsay has been on the edge for so long that this is actually a step in the right direction. I didn't read her comment as blaming the film or the director but as removing herself from a situation she now sees as harmful. Isn't that actually moving

@bookwench: Have you read Nine Parts of Desire by Geraldine Brooks? It's a very interesting history of the veil with lots of stuff in there about Mohammed and how the circumstances of his life affected his 'prophecies'.

The best part about the Ryan Kwanten story is that he was parking a bicycle.

I'm prepared to accept that he wrote the letter with tongue firmly planted in cheek.

@Jamie Heck: Is your partner circumcised? Because if he is, he wouldn't know any different and may be all about the traditiooooon as well.

Wait, what? How do Democrats vote repeatedly?

@Lynx: Don't worry. Mohammed's first wife Khadija will walk them through the indignity of bankrolling a man only to have him turn around after you've died and claim that men are superior because they bring home the bacon.

This is brilliant. I can't believe it's taken until 2010 for a really comprehensive anti-rape strategy to focus on the perps not the victims.

Photos or it didn't happen.

"He's got the whole wo-orld! In his hands!"
