But if you're wearing a straitjacket to the party, how will you drink the rohypnol laced punch?

@janestclair: I didn't think he was referring to her dress size. I just find it weird when really tall guys are into really short girls and point it out. It seems to me like it's a cuteness thing.
I would be so annoyed if I had to sit through that song while waiting for my movie. I'm not anti clever proposals, but if someone proposed to me with the line 'yes i'm addicted to you' and told me they were attracted to my 'petiteness', I might have to excuse myself to the 'candy bar' and get the hell out of there.
There are some people on here who are outraged that this post was published and who think the fact it was written in the first place is abhorrent.
Michael Lohan is too low even for dogs to bite. I actually find him more offensive and disgusting than Mel Gibson.
@ameliabearhart: "In the same vein I also think it's stupid for Alexandre Dumas to be played by a white guy, but the French film industry disagrees with me."
@LadySoprano is a Fat-Fighting Superwoman: @Pianola: I felt that the film was a perfect example of how a movie adaptation should be done. And while I normally despise changing the ending of films to suit romantic sensibilities, in this case I felt the opposite was true. Cassandra's end in the book seemed hopelessly…
I can also highly recommend Nancy Mitford when one needs to escape to a place of dry British witticisms and 1920s upper class chicanery. The Pursuit of Love is a delight.
@leftoverhill: You must, must, must watch the recent BBC adaptation of The Forsyte Saga with Damian Lewis and Rupert Graves. Sublime perfection.
@ameliabearhart: The one thing I go back to when I think about blind casting in historical film or TV is how it's misrepresenting history. I do not for one second believe that a non-white woman could not make a convincing, sparky Elizabeth Bennett, but in blind casting do we run the risk of denying to younger viewers…
@jvac88: If it's 'chiefly British' then it probably won't be recognised by American versions of Word.
@thegoddesscher: I should clarify that I have never been involved in a d/s relationship, so I'm going purely based on what I find titillating in a touristy fantasy kind of way. If I were to be involved in one, I agree with you 100% - I could just never enjoy or get behind actually being treated like nothing by a…
@thegoddesscher: It's possible though that (in purely fantasy terms) misogynist man as domme and female as sub writing does turn otherwise strong and self respecting feminists on. Not dismissing your point, just offering a different perspective!
@drunkexpatwriter: How do you get that kind of freelance work if you don't mind me asking?
@cinnamonster: From my understanding, it's still common practice in America for hospitals to have women giving birth on their backs and in stirrups.
@audreyapple: I don't expect you to feel sorry for me *because* I'm scared that I might not get to experience that kind of love and respect with someone
@jenalicious: No one's asking for you to feel bad for them. I don't feel bad for you that your parents are divorced because my pity would be completely misplaced and patronising. I can see how it might affect your interaction and approach to relationships though, and if you can't work through whatever that means for…
The real mystery is how anyone managed to present Katherine Heigl as warm and caring. They can do anything with movie makeup these days!
While I have difficulty understanding the high level of interest in abuse memoirs or why people devour them so ravenously, I think it's a bit patronising to ask whether or not Jaycee Dugard should wait to write her story to please our own sensibilities.
@FroderickFronkensteen: PM'ed you back with flabbergasted response.
