America is at peak “look at anything but my tiny-dick” energy right now, big stupid plastic garbage like this is meant to look tough to hide how afraid its buyers are.

“Pedo-Safety-Board”

The name penetration is good for a niche brand with limited ad spend and no dealers...

I think Saturn had the way forward.

I’m not too keen on this no-haggle nonsense, as it seems a surefire way to build in extra profit and there isn’t jack you can do about it.  Sure, haggling is not fun for most, and likely very irritating, but imagine the irritation people will have when the “Market Value Added Markup” becomes a permanent thing....

You know the saying that salesmen love being sold? Well I’m a salesman and I love the whole process. I love playing the game. Arrive, be polite, pick a car and drive it, then let the negotiations begin. The best part has always been that they need to sell the car worse than I need to buy it. The power of walking away

5th: Brings to mind Erin’s thoughts on the Geneva Show in 2020. To Paraphrase..”Out of my Way! I’m a Jalopnik Writer”

People buying cars without test drives confuse me.

And on the flip side; US unions and their crusade against universal healthcare have cost us how many thousands of factory jobs?

Unions are a joke compared to 100 years ago. Many are as corrupt as the industries they represent.

All manufacturers (am): Ever notice how the energy sector seems to make so much more money than us while maintaining a barrier of entry due to it being such a mature segment? Let’s figure out a way to get in on that sweet honey.

My dude, I’ve got bad news for you about literally every company in America.

i’d argue that even though i sometimes buy mcdonald’s after work and throw the bag away at a gas station before i go home, i still care about feeding my family.

Raph’s comment “Maybe they should unionize! Seems like a win-win.”

Nice move by Tesla (And the Nambe Pueblo). All of these laws that serve only to benefit dealerships need to die.

I’m looking forward to my Apple Car’s 4 year planned obsolescence. I assume it will just go slower and slower until it completely stops working and I have to trade it in for $40 towards a new one.

It’s definitely wild to see them suddenly angry about China when they literally did everything they could to push overseas production by US companies.

Think you can pull some strings and get me one of them jobs?

You know what would be better? If we held the industries’ feet to the fire that are actually responsible for the majority of emissions. I’m talking airlines, cargo ships, cruise ships (entire industry should be banned, in a perfect world) and meat farms. Everyone has bought into EV “adoption” because its the easiest

2nd Gear: This is a stupid ‘solution’ to the problem of there not being enough drivers. The REAL solution is better pay, better benefits and better hours.

2nd gear: The idea that Uber corporate makes progressively more every year while paying drivers less isn’t a bug, it’s literally the key feature.
