It’s due to the version differences. If you bought it for PS3/PSP then you have RE Director’s Cut Dual Shock Edition. The UK/Euro players got the first release of Director’s Cut and we didn’t.

See, there’s this dramatic conceit called “Chekhov’s Gun” (I misspelled it, unfortunately) that says, paraphrased, “If you place a gun on the mantle in the first act of a play, it must go off by the third act.” It’s all about seeding story points and creating dramatic tension.

If anyone is curious, Microsoft didn’t buy Activision for COD. As nice as COD is, and as big a brand as it is, Microsoft bought Activision for King. King makes mobile titles. I get everything you’re saying, agree with the general idea there, and think its absolutely worth exploring but I think there’s something that’s missing with it.
