In the UK (possibly just England and Wales actually) we have Police & Crime Commissioners, which is an elected position to kind of oversee regional law enforcement policy, spending etc. It often comes with a Party political alignment but is as I say is a public appointed position.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s also the reason I do my “proper computer work” on Mac. Sure I pay the price on hardware but I ain't catering for a plethora of hardware configured systems that mean nothing to me because I require a printer driver from twothousandfrozentodeath.

On the basis of Kotaku's recommendation, I have both Sonic 1&2 installed on my Android device (Sony Xperia ironically!) for no monetary outlay. So yuh.
