Considering how much I enjoyed the first season, I can't say it was meaningless. It's the Journey, not the destination and whatnot.

There is a pretty strong theory that DeBlanc is not an angel though…

As someone who has had very little bad to say about this season of Preacher, I have a couple of criticisms about the finale. For one, I didn't think the Carlos reveal lived up to the amount of foreshadowing lent to it. I didn't necessarily think her suffering a miscarriage due to his betrayal was that off base, as

I've never watched that show, is it good?

It's not even just a matter of his character, just personal taste. He may not be that bad a guy, but he is the one I'd least like to spend time with in real life. The others may be scum, but they're more my flavor of scum.

I also feel that although their "thing" was consensual, it may not have always been. It was definitely skewing toward the coercive side toward the end with that call.

I heard the first script they pitched was a shot for shot remake of the comic. So so glad they didn't go that way. There'd literally be no reason to watch past the first episode if that were the case. I love the fact that I don't know exactly what's going to happen and I can still be surprised in spite of reading the

The only guy Tulip has tortured so far killed her baby (I'm probably correctly assuming) or at least was instrumental in its death. She can torture the fuck out of him for all I care, torture away.

Somehow Jesse comes across as a much better guy when he's helping a friend bury a body than when he's trying to help an evil man find God. I hope to see lots more of this Jesse.

Heather is my favorite character on the show, she is my precious cupcake and anyone who hurts her in any way, even unintentionally, can go now. It's probably worth saying that I've known a lot of Heathers too.

Just because the author doesn't agree with what his characters are saying doesn't make their views suddenly more palatable. It's them I'm spending time with, not Garth Ennis. But whatever, I've said numerous times now that I like the comics. I really don't understand what you want from me.

We also don't know that Tulip didn't rob a blood bank, it may not have been enough. Judging by next week's promo Brewski wasn't even enough.

I just said I enjoyed the comics, but come on, there's only so much casual homophobia I can take before I knock off a few points.

Ah

I'm not really having that much trouble following it?

Liking both the comics and the show is a thing though. I love both, although I've outgrown certain elements of the comics and find the shows characters to be a lot more nuanced, I still enjoy the comics overall.

No, it's like saying he's a better actor than a director, which is absolutely true.

Yeah. I liked the movie well enough but… yeah.

It's unnecessary anyway, it's a comic book movie, not water. OUAT exists, yet there's still another live action Disney Princess movie every five seconds. I can deal with there being a movie version and a TV version.

Sulu was supposed to be straight in TOS? Hmm.
