You don’t understand how jalopnik works... do you...
We’re definitely in the Colecovision era of electric cars. But consider all the companies that made computers then... all the established players - IBM, DEC, HP, DataGeneral, TI, CDC, etc. And all the home players - Commodore, Apple, Osbourne, Atari... Most of the early players, even (especially) the established ones,…
Forget cross country trips, I want my 1hr commute to turn in to 15 minutes with the only stop to be at the door/parking space.
I’ve always considered Alex Roy to be a tool too. A spoiled rich kid who gets to play with cars the you or I will never even get to ride in. However, he has nailed it with this article. I never thought I would say it, but “nice job, Alex”.
I tried trials motorcycling during a clinic over this past weekend. It is very challenging to do even the simplest maneuvers at the slow speeds and tight turning radii they require. It was a complete blast and so much lower risk, due to lower speeds, than stunting or supermoto will ever be. I think if I could afford a…
Joel Ramer and his girlfriend got stuck off-roading this old Jeep Cherokee on a powerline road in Walpole,…
All of the whiny-ass commentators had better understand one thing about a motorcycle like this: if you complain about nice things we won’t get them.
Right, but I think that’s the point. As motorcycles have transitioned to more expensive, and heavier, and bigger, sales have also, overall, slowed. Triumph is gaining market share at the cost of Harley, but overall, the premium motorcycles are not a strong market.
Dear god that Thruxton with the fairing . . . so much want. Except I will never buy it unless it’s really groundbreaking. I am just not comfortable on big bikes. I would love to have that around 500-750cc. I test rode the CB1100 and it felt like riding an elephant after coming off my CB450. I want a modern, vintage…
Why do the engines need to be bigger? Why can’t they just be more lightweight? If anything, as someone who would like a bike to ride around on sometimes, and has some small experience with bikes, I think a smaller, cheaper, cafe-style bike might help capture a younger market than...this.
I don’t get this attitude unless you just don’t want to admit it was cool. Startup company builds fully electric car that can go 4 times farther than any other electric car and it outsells established rivals? That’s the definition of cool, at least from an engineering and business standpoint. What else does it need?…
You can’t put that out as blanket advice. As mentioned above and discussed extensively in one of the articles linked up there, there are times when it makes sense to finance even though you have the cash.
I’d like to know what services I use on a daily basis that my taxes pay for. My bet is that it’s a remarkably short list.
Hipsters are. . . too mainstream? I dunno. It seems like these days everyone that likes (even superficially) something from another time period is now a hipster. The term is becoming increasingly meaningless.
Cool post by a guy with a VW handle. :)
So tell me, what’s it like to be millions in debt?
Dear hipsters, I spent the weekend watching your dads race motorcycles. And it was awesome.
