It’s the motorcyclist’s fault no matter which way you slice it. He wasn’t paying attention and/or didn’t brake hard enough. If he had been closer, it would have still been his fault for not leaving a big enough following distance.

HealthKit and the Health app are not the same thing. The Health app is exactly how the user is supposed to interface with this data. It’s how you manually enter information, how you view historical information, how you manage which apps can add/view the info, etc.

I’ve been using this app for several weeks and it’s pretty good at what it does. It’s just sad that we have to rely on a third party app to be able to get a good view of this information - especially when Apple is the supposed king of UI design and ease of use.

The eGolf is way more expensive than the competition. Like, almost twice the price on the used market.

The ~80 mile range is for a full capacity battery in ideal conditions. Because the early models didn’t use liquid temperature control, the batteries will have lost a portion of their capacity, reducing range. If you drive on the freeway, at night, with the heat on you truly are looking at a bit over 40 miles range.

> 1. In what way is an electric vacuum brake assist more efficient than robbing vacuum of the intake manifold?

You say that autonomous vehicles need these smooth, well marked roads, but I think it’s the other way around: We don’t get smooth, well marked roads until we have autonomous vehicles. When you get to the point that a single striping truck can just drive around all night long painting white lines with no breaks, no

Yup. The further someone gets from their 20s, the less attractive sport bikes become and the more attractive standards and cruisers start to be. I don’t know many guys in their late 30s or older that bother with sport bikes anymore.

And if they produce nothing more than vaporware, they wouldn’t be paying any taxes anyway. Nothing lost in that regard.

You’re not the only one. The rear overhang is a bit long, but only really noticeable when viewed directly from the side. Other than that, I think it looks pretty great. I really like the headlights and taillights, and the two-tone Coke bottle shape is great. Not to mention, it looks super roomy without being a barge.

While I agree, I don’t think anything groundbreaking is needed to be successful. If a company could produce a Model X for $20K less, they’d sell a million of them.

Good thing parking garages all have great GPS reception!

You can get LEDs that look like old school incandescents. They’re widely available and usually around a few dollars each.

Those are moths, man. Come on. Get it together.

Several months ago I bought a 2013 Ford Focus Electric with 12K miles for $10.5K. That was with no tax rebates or any other fancy discounts. The car was barely used, and there were two more on the lot in different colors for about the same price. Being able to pick up a practically new, heavily optioned car for ten

Not true. In fact, most Leaf drivers screamed at the top of their lungs about lost capacity, and when buying a used Leaf it’s the first thing you look for.

How does the crumple zone work if you’re just sitting in the cars & coffee parking lot and are viciously attacked by a wild Mustang?

I graduated early 90s from a small town in one of the sparsely populated flyover states. My high school lot was awesome. Between me and my friends we had: ‘69 Mustang, ‘67 Chevelle SS 396, ‘57 Chevy, ‘70 Charger, ‘69 GTO, ‘70 Olds 442, ‘62 Chevy II, ‘78 Grand Prix, a third gen Camaro Z28, and several hopped up pickups
