Drop in the 10-speed automatic and make the frontend less like a CR-V and I’d be game to replace my Colorado. The driving dynamics of a unibody vehicle are significantly more enjoyable than a body-on-frame truck for a daily driver.
Will they come out with a tight-handling Type R version since the platform will drive 10x better than a full-size truck?
It was not a great choice for a truly disappointing M5 generation. But, at least if you own one you’re guaranteed decent resale value 10+ years from now by the uninformed public. Just drive something else in your garage significantly more entertaining, like your riding mower.
... Mazda, please just leave the top on and make an honest Miata Coupe. I understand some people like their domes poking out above their windscreen, but a lot more people prefer being under a sheet of metal and offering a bit more trunk space for everything they want to do in my life that isn’t dealing with skin…
The Golf R offers a manual, is lighter, better handling, more power, a lot cheaper and includes more interior space? I wonder if I can put on a few Porsche badges and sell them for $10k more.
I think 3,400-3,500 lbs seems reasonable for this car in this spec. An M4 MSRP is $65,700 versus $51,700 for the M2(with a lot more standard options). I’m sure anyone can shave significant weight out of the car for $14,000.

Please thank them for polluting 3/4s of our country while they travel across it with their vehicle of mass destruction.
Only when it locks me out of using the physical controls.
I 100% agree with their naming convention; it’s just not what I was hoping for, which is more than okay.
I’m guessing you don’t like the looks of the ATS-V?
B-pillarless coupe that isn’t a Mercedes? Throw an LT4 in it and you can have all my monies.
