No to mention that Howard had been living with his mother for years while he was working, so unless he was paying the mortgage out of his salary he should have a pretty fat bank account, even accounting for comic books and collectibles.

Agreed…nothing wrong with Penny in a cocktail dress or bikini. Well done, Mrs. Cuoco-Sweeting.

AV Club wasn't going to cover this show when the season started, but they changed their minds. Besides, it's not like there are a glut of mass-market sitcoms out there.

The Penny/Emily rivalry might be interesting. Part of Penny's comfort zone is her status as the unquestioned Queen Bee of the group. What will she do when she has to make room for another hot chick? The episodes with Pryia kinda explored that, but didn't quite work. It's a potential conflict worth revisiting, though.

Not to get too real-world, but isn't it illegal for a rental building to not have a working elevator for that long with tenants living there? You'd think someone (especially Sheldon) would have brought a lawsuit by now…

The show was funny overall, but I wonder why the creators felt the need to come down so hard on Kickstarter and startups in general. The idea might have been more appropriate during the '90s tech bubble. Nowadays it just seems like a couple of rich assholes mocking people trying to do their own thing.

I'm Black, and I fucking hated this show.

Parsons will get work somewhere. He's done work on Broadway, so if he doesn't get another show he can always go do theater.

For the first time in THIRTY-TWO years, there are no sitcoms on NBC's Thursday night schedule. That's going to feel weird.

Have to agree. If you're going to bother reviewing Modern F. Family every week, you should make room for TBBT.

Just bought a 160GB model off of eBay. This is the only product from Apple I use. It's the best portable MP3 player out there. Too bad it's going away.

Yes. They are the best thing Apple invented.

Agreed. I love Judy Greer, she's the reason I started watching. Even she can't overcome this concept, though. It feels like this show was designed for the demo NBC expected to be into "Up All Night," only these middle-aged marrieds with kids are tired AND seething with anger and resentment over their life choices.

So far, all this show has done for me is reinforce my unspoken commitment to never get married or have kids.

I gave up on engaging strangers who want small talk when I realized that most people who do that want to do all the talking. They're looking for someone to talk AT, not talk TO. I've got better things to do.

Congratulations to Martin Freeman for his upset win and for quietly turning into one of the more accomplished actors of his generation.

He's the Black Guy!
He's the White Guy!
How will they ever get along?!?!

Broad City: Very funny show, can't wait for the new season, but it's not the All-Time Historical Transformative Sea Change Redefinition of TV as described in all the AV Club Reviews I've seen of it. Sometimes a good show is just a good show.

I tried to watch two episodes of it, and I have to agree with the British. That show is terrible.

One of the great dinosaur Rock in-jokes from this episodes: the name of the festival, "Hullabalooza," is from the short-lived 1960s TV show "Hullabaloo," one of the first attempts by TV to capitalize on youth culture through its music.
