Done! Good thing, too, because if that had been the series-ender, Roasanne would have company.

Newhart is right at the edge of my TV consciousness,  but you're right, by reputation alone it would be up there.

I give the episode a B-. Lots of random loose ends wrapped up randomly. On my list of series finales, I would put it here:

Agreed about Kelly and Ryan. They could have left that plot out and not missed anything. Erin being reunited with her parents was also unnecessary, IMO.

"Bait and Switch"
1. a sales tactic in which a customer is attracted by the advertisement of a low-priced item but is then encouraged to buy a higher-priced one
2. the ploy of offering a person something desirable to gain favor (as political support) then thwarting expectations with something less desirable (from Merriam

I was one of the fans who DID watch this show for the crazy bullshit. That's what made it great. That insane streak is gone (it walked out the door with Dan Harmon), and this show is a zombie version of what it used to be. Time to end it.

This is what they call in the blue-collar and 9-to-5 trades a "Fireable Offense." An astonishing lack of judgement by this manager. Someone could have gotten killed from this.

At least this will save some wear and tear on my TiVo.

I must admit I'm not watching the broadcast, but I am following along through this thread. From the tenor of the comments, it doesn't sound like it's going well. Is that accurate?

I'd call him an asshole if I didn't know he'd take it as a compliment.

I wonder if viewers watch TBBT and Modern Family for the same reasons, as Aubrey describes. To me, Big Bang Theory's main selling point is the quality of most of its cast, who have been elevating mediocre material for years, succeeding despite glaring deficiencies elsewhere. Modern Family seems to rely more on the

I hate to agree with Adams, but this show is slipping. It won't be around next year, considering the ratings it's getting, and that may be a good thing.

In a TV universe where relationships between adult heterosexual men are often ignored or treated as some stupid variation of "bromance," the scene where Chris presents Ben with his wedding gift (a framed copy of the letter assigning them to Pawnee) really impressed me. So simple and well-done, I was tearing up along

One of my favorite Silver Age Simpsons lines: "You don't make love to Max Power…you strap yourself in and FEEL THE Gs!"

Celebrity Rehab should go away for a while, if not permanently. Let these people heal in private. That show isn't entertainment, it's ghoulish.

"O’Brien…he’s absolutely brilliant and has enriched the world immeasurably with his comic genius."

If you're going to be that blanket racist, you also should note how white people have terrible taste in Black music, what with the way White people slurp up whatever gangsta rap garbage or RnB tripe Wal-Mart sticks on the shelves.

If Dwight and Angela's story line was a sample of what an audience could expect from a Dwight Schrute spinoff, then we're all lucky Kabletown has decided not to do a Dwight Schrute spinoff.

I used to think this show was weird, but I'm starting to get into it. Which means it will be cancelled within the next six months. Sorry, everyone.
