I like that red bull specifically didn't want their logos plastered all over the place. It was on the stuff that made sense (vehicles, etc) but not just painted on every piece. That's classier than I'd have expected.

Good point; that 125cc engine I spoke of didn't even survive the track day, now that I think about it. Also, if they're building the engines themselves, I can definitely see the parts being made of sturdier, heavier components (probably no aluminum blocks or molybdenum-coated bearings).

Are those displacement listings right - 661cc for 11hp? My RS125 had a 125cc 2-stroke that would kick out a bit over 20 horsepower.

I was secretly hoping that is was terribly impractical so that I would feel better about never being able to afford an SLS.

I love love love the gullwing doors, but I wonder how troublesome they are in narrow parking spaces.

Wow, I wonder if Bentley / Ferrari / et al have any guilt about how much of their money has the blood of the downtrodden on it. It seems they could at least have a policy of not selling to anyone suspected of war crimes.

That guy doesn't sound like a Jethro.

That shade of blue with the hotspots from the lights makes me think of Quantum Leap. Which I imagine is appropriate, as the first time you put the pedal down you'll probably have just enough sense left to mutter "oh boy..."

Only 100k? I haven't priced a Jag lately but that seems on the cheap... well, let's call it "the inexpensive" side. I was expecting the price to be up near Aston Martin territory ($120k - $170k, last I checked).

Fascinating story, Alex; thanks for sharing. The main reason I asked is because I've done pretty well for myself in a fairly competitive field (game development) and I feel like there's some similarity. People often ask me how to get a job in the game industry and my only answer is to be competent and lucky. There are

I have a potentially awkward question, but I'm tremendously curious so I'll risk it. You said that Lewis Hamilton was there that day, getting his first taste of F1 as well. What do you think the differences were between the two of you that led him to become a household name?

The highest rated youtube comments for that video are people complaining about an "annoying rich blonde girl" and I was all like "youtube, you so sexist and dumb". But then she showed up and talked about bumming around Ecuador and wanting to start a sunglasses company and I just kind of found myself closing the

I didn't know the police had a mobile rave unit.

2 wheels will always win on horsepower per dollar, though.

This guy wins.

I was under the impression that the small spoiler at the rear of the roof (I think the paperwork calls it a 'vortex generator') was only on the '07; anecdotally, I've got an '07 and it has the spoiler.

I believe you're right about the hawkeyes, but I think the "vortex generator" (aka the silly little spoiler on the rear of the roof) was an '07 exclusive thing.

Oooh! I finally get to be "that guy"...

I don't think you've ever really had bad sex OR bad pizza.

Going 100mph in a '71 Jeep sounds terrifying.
