Science. Data. Statistics. GM has evidence, factual proof, their airbags are safe. Why should they be forced to replace them? Because ‘old GM’ is not a reason. Ignition switch failure is not a reason. 

That said, it’s iconic at this point, and it seems bizarre to change it to something more generic.

Pedantic fact: the current VC-25s used for as Air Force One are not 747-400s but are 747-200s upgrades to the -400’s avionics and engines. Note the size of the hump on top - much smaller than the -400.

Actually, Hummer had many substantial changes especially where it counts.  Their frames, for example, were massively stiffer than their Tahoe/Colorado counterparts.  The H2 used mostly 2500 series running gear too and had a really high gross vehicle weight.  I had an H3 with the adventure package and it was the real…

It’s all in the rear; after the second gen CTS, the asses of nearly all Cadillacs got a bit funky looking and I could never put my finger on why.  This one fixes it.  The CT6 didn’t face the same issue.
