As a freelancer, I think you've nailed the freelancer situation pretty well. Some weeks I work 10 hours and the next I work 60. I never know what next week will bring so it's hard to plan holidays and vacations. I have to buy my own benefits (which can be a business expense if you get the right plan). I work at home

You lose points on creativity but you make up for it with your marks for confidence :P

Panda Bear - for when you want to have sex in a dreamscape.

No no it's nice, you've sparked discussion and no one seems to be being rude.

3 pairs plus over the knee stockings? no idea, maybe for better lines?

They're slowly getting cheaper! I never use them in public. I always dash off to the bathroom ashamed like I'm doing coke or something.

I make these all the time. Works great for eczema!

Me too!

Síííííííííí!

I like him! He's pretty funny when he is improvising. When he is on Comedy Bang Bang it's amazing. He was on with Jon Hamm on yesterday's episode (podcast) and I was crying from laughter.

Declare it! You will be glad you did after you throw everything out and buy a ton of black and white socks from one company. What used to take upwards of 30 seconds will now only take 5. And I know 25 seconds doesn't seem like a lot but it's the *frustration* of it.

To be honest I do it all the time - start an email and need to reference an old one. I have terrible memory so sometimes I have to save draft and go back and forth several times. So...I guess there's me that has that problem. That being said I solved this by opening compose or inbox again in a new tab.

My sister and I make nail polish and it's actually super hard to think of good names after a while. There's only so many variations on sparkle you can think of. I would never name something Jail Bait though - how the hell did some of these names get through??

Yup that is definitely a great example of what I'm talking about :) (I mean that in a good way)

I know it's long but I promise you it is so worth it.

This excellent true story from Elna Baker about her time working in a toy store deals with the topic of white dolls very well.

Well the stats show that *on average* they do not. She did not say black children never do.

I hear what you are saying, but I think the thrust of her argument isn't that we need to sanitize gay characters. It's that we need to show that this isn't the only thing going on in their lives. If there is a character whose sexuality is the core of their character (and it makes sense for that character) then it

A few of us were discussing this in regards to people with disabilities a few days ago. I think it would be very helpful to have characters in television and movies whose typically "defining characteristics" (black, gay, disabled, etc.) are not treated as defining but as secondary characteristics that influence them

I've just heard the show Legit (Jim Jefferies) has a disabled character that is done quite well.
