Neither this article, nor my responses have been anything other than a comment on the continued support of No Mans Sky. You’ve chosen to extend the conversation to the development cycle before release, and if you’ll see, I’ve only ever agreed with statements that it was flawed, wrong, and utterly a scam.
I suggest you

I think people read too much into what I didn’t say, as opposed to what I did say.

I do agree with each of your points 100%. What we got versus what was promised was so off base, so, so off base.

I honestly have no idea. I would guess that to be the case. I know they’re selling it for ~20 bucks now, so they’re probably getting trickle sales in.

It’s not a strawman argument.
What the developers are doing in inherently good at this point. I never said scamming is a fair and right thing to do. What I said was that developers should support their game and not abandon it.

The illogical and explosive response by you and others like you show the irrational amount of

Oh, I agree. I won’t and can’t argue that point.

R6 is rocking it, they’re doing it better than anyone else.
Supporting a game after release is key, even if it’s just finally getting promised features in long after the fact!

So go play Minecraft then.

What is it you’d like Hello Games to do? Stop updating it? Is it triggering bad memories for you from when you were scammed?

I’m trying to follow your logic, but I’m sorry, I honestly can’t find it.
They’re making the game better, but you don’t want them to. Because...reasons?

You’re pissed

Except you can get co-ordinates to someones planet and step through a portal to get right there.
So, yeah, it’s pretty easy to get somewhere. ;)

If you were so dense as to buy into the hype, that’s on you. Did you pre-order? I didn’t. I waited for reviews, and bought in knowing what I would be buying.

If you’d rather a developer drop a game after scamming people, you need to share some of that cash money you’ve got laying around with the rest of us, because

Every update they’ve talked about, they’ve released, and it’s been as good as they promised.

I can’t see the future, but I don’t see why this wouldn’t be as good as it looks to be.

There was no doubt players were lied to, and yeah, promised features were never in the game, but you can’t say they had minor patches. That’s just ignorant. The updates they’ve made to the game have certainly NOT been minor. Were they promised from day one? Yeah, for most of them sure they were.

But they weren’t in

Yes. They could not have done anything at all and we’d be out on the lurch.

Ok, so, developers and producers, take note. This is how you maintain a game.

I always liked NMS, I never bought into the hype, and it was what it was. Played it with my wife, too. I take breaks in between, but with this update, I will be jumping headlong into it with her again. We love co-op games.

Yes. Minnesota can join us. Welcome to the Family, Son!

BASE WARS

Me neither. I am white, grew up in a *mostly* (at the time) white neighborhood, but the schools I went to in had people from all over. I’d like to think that made me a better person.

This really is the game that keeps on giving. It’s like Civ4 is for me, where every now and then I’ll boot it up and binge for like a month straight.
Skylines is the game that I’ll play when I just want to relax. These guys are knocking it out of the park. Mods made sure the game stayed relevant, with solid DLC to

Come to Canada. Not only do we still have them, we have Poutines! Not at the same location. But still.

I reffed basketball for 12 years, high school stuff. In those 12 years, I only ever called a single flagrant foul: A kid threw a punch (and missed terribly) at another kid.

This is up there, but I could see why it wouldn’t be called. The kid had a lot of momentum going in.
I would probably have ejected the kid to ensure

They’d still have a few years left to hit that benchmark, I’m afraid.

I *usually* play with my wife, and at that point, 2 people or 4, it’s a no brainer.

That said, for *some* fights, I soloed. Xeno’Jiva, Nergigante (after I called for help), Vaal Hazaak (who was a lot easier than I thought), and suggested my wife do the same.
It’s made us better hunters.

Though, most nights I find myself
