With recent changes to the play store there a features beneficial to all devices, not just ones with NFC chips so i believe the made it available to most phones. i know i can get it for my droid razr

alot of p2p of old would lock .zip or .rar files of popular media/software with passwords and have you view ads to get the password. most were malware, some legit opened the archive. this was often circumvented by the first brave folks who would post the pw in the comments or post that it was BS
I have an older Razr running cyanogenmod, the HUD theme was unusable day 1.
Probably worth a mention that this is in Beta, and as such it isn't quite stable yet, though I've found it mostly usable.
