The worst part about this is how he implies that people who take leave don’t have a strong work ethic. As someone who has a 2 week old, a wife who goes to Law school full time, and a generous 2 weeks paternity that I’m finishing, I’m grateful for my wife and mine work ethics, and that my job allowed me so much time

I guess I should stop wearing the free Blanco shirt I got at Toyota park 10 or so years ago

Wow how spontaneous! What a great spontaneous unplanned quirky moment!

But..But he just used it during batting practice!

That has less to do with the format, and more to do with the wonky schedule this year. The Bruins have played more games. If Ottawa lose their remaining games, there is a chance they will not be in the playoffs. The reason they are ahead right now is due to the tiebreaking procedures. The NHL Tiebreakers go as follows:

I think that’s the scorecard denotation for when you strike out looking up your own ass.

Now playing

You’re right, Crosby lined it up and premeditated from a few feet away. Marchand did it with his back to the guy

6-0 under Butch

The biggest story here is that when Dobby saw the player in the net, he assumed it was going to come off the moorings, he quit and didn’t even attempt to come across.

“I’m not gonna make excuses.”

Gotta be responsible for your stick there. Doesn’t look malicious, just unlucky. Keep your stick on the ice

I like Ichiro. I’m a bit too young to remember Pete Rose, so I don’t really have any sort of feelings toward him. Counting Japan stats is fucking stupid. By this logic, Hideki Matsui was a better HR hitter than Lou Gherig with 507 to Gherig’s 493. Sure, he only hit 175 in MLB, but Japan counts!

Maybe instead of encouraging star athletes (and former, old habits die hard) to have a “fall guy,” the leagues should encourage them to, I don’t know, DON’T RAPE PEOPLE.

What’s more exciting? 2 people vying for the most home runs in MLB with totals of 42 and 43, or two people shooting for the same title with 68, 70? The most exciting thing with Armstrong was that the pace was ridiculous, breaking records, and the guys coming in second were also breaking records. 2003 Tour had 1st and

I don’t think my scenario is realistic or feasible. If it were possible in a perfect world, I think I’d find all/most sports more exciting, and I’d bet that viewership and ticket sales go up.

I want athletes to be drug-fueled. As a consumer, it’s more exciting. When Lance Armstrong was winning all those Tour de France’s (Tour’s de france?), breaking records, it was awesome. Sosa vs. Big-Mac? Phenomenal. Bring me the artificial, 600 ft home runs all day long.

I’m currently growing my first citrus tree. Just moved to AZ from the Northeast, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. I’ve been staring everyday at the buds I just started getting. If someone were to take something off that if/when it bears fruit, well, I’d damn near kill them

Definitely. Which round of the playoffs was it last year, Sox-Indians, I think? Where somone slid into second and their chest was over the bag, not touching, for about 0.25 seconds and they were called out? That nonsense needs to stop. It’s the same problem the NHL has right now with the offside call taking away a

Oh nice. I haven’t watched hardly any spring training, so I haven’t seen the new rule, but that’s an improvement for sure.

I’m including catchers, infielders, everyone. Except for trainers for injury. They’re allowed
