In what world is Oklahoma considered part of the midwest?

Correlation is not causation. Yes, bad things often happen to those around Oliver… but a more sensible way to put it would be that bad things often happen to people who have chosen to be a team of vigilante crime-fighters.

Problem here is that the skills required to *get* the job (of a Republican congresscritter) are not remotely the same as the skills required to *do* the job. Diametrically opposed, even.

From what we've seen of Charlie so far, one thing he's definitely *not* is naive. I missed his presence in this episode, in fact; he seems to have a more accurate perception of reality than some of the adults around him.

Blows my mind that there are a lot of people in the real world who don't know any openly LGBT people, but it does seem to be true…

I had forgotten it myself for a while, until the previous week's crossover where Barry casually mentioned that his inheritance from Wells included the Hall of Justice (!)…

I really want to see more Mirror Master. When I first got into the Flash as a kid reading the comics, he was the villain whose gimmick really triggered my "wow" reaction…

Yeah, if you're gonna send a message to your past self (or past self's friends), you'd think you'd try to include as much *specific* information as possible to make it useful, wouldn't you?…

I do kind of like the idea of having a different Wells every season!…

I'm all but convinced at this point that HR is actually…

Early '80s? That classic GL/GA run was way back in 1970. Time flies!

What's weird is that this is apparently the *only* effect of Flashpoint on the Arrow crew… something that is almost completely inconsequential to every character. Why even bother?

I really thought he had actually trimmed down his afro. Was surprised to see it in full again in his next non-costumed scene…

The heck with debates over FX quality (and really, people are so demanding these days — has everyone forgotten what pre-CGI FX looked like?)… I did a spontaneous fist pump when I saw the parachute arrow! From a show that was self-consciously trying to be "realistic" about costumed vigilantes in its first season, it

Actually it seems likely that none of the films so far are from our timeline. We know details of three: one shows San Francisco after a nuclear attack, one shows Stalin alive in 1954, and one shows Allied troops taking Berlin. At least two out of those three can't possibly be from our reality.

I always loved B5… but the disclosure of the full story about Michael O'Hare's departure had completely passed me by until I read your post just now and Googled it. Damn, I had no idea.

One of the beauties of M*A*S*H on DVD is the option to turn off the laugh track. I always loved the show anyway, but getting rid of the canned laughter makes it phenomenally better.

Sounds like the film really affects you in a profound way. But how can it be something that's become *more* meaningful as you get older? It only came out five years ago, after all.

I agree that there was plenty of foreshadowing — thought not so much that the reveal didn't catch me by surprise; I try to avoid spoilers — but I'm puzzled that people keep bringing up the phone thing. Elliot's mom's house — or at least his mental image of it, which is presumably based on real recollections — isn't

I kinda love the fact (and it's completely consistent with the themes of the show) that we just don't know. Indeed, we can't know.
