it was around mid january, like for 3 hours you could grab torchlight 1 and 2 for free. But torchlight 2 license was more of a 2 months trial, after that you need to bought it, specially if you wanted to keep on playing online

They can always hack the wii and play their games online via homebrew. The Scene is working on give this games some online life via homebrew and a little tweak to the games internal code.
