The original Shaft is not a badass, people often mistake that — it’s the Boba Fett Effect. It’s nostalgia goggles.

Let it go, Indiana.
This really needs an awkward love interest shoe-horned in to check another box off in the CBS creatively bankrupt checklist...
I’m gonna post Patton Oswalt’s KFC bit, because y’all are definitely thinking of it...
Pixar already beat them to it, the films are literally called Cars and they suck!
The West Wing has one of the best assembled television casts ever, and while I occasionally ponder what the characters would be up to now, it’s best to leave that to conjecture.
Even from the pilot, Mandy’s plots never gelled with the tone of the rest of the series. I think if she had a similar temperament and competitive streak as the rest of the cast, she might have made it. Most of the West Wing cast were already accomplished theatre actors and generally the ones that stuck around already…
I haven’t seen it but I already know that Hailee Steinfeld is way better than this movie.
“...but he has crafted good TV in the past including the First and Third Series of Broadchurch.”
Chibnall is not as a competent of a writer as Moffat, as problematic as he could be, and his struggle with finding the right balance of tones and characterization are absolutely reflections of that. And it’s not encouraging that we have to wait until 2020 to uncover the answer to that question.
I’m not at all surprised another thing that Peter Jackson is involved with turned out to be utter shlock. The only shock is it doesn’t sound like a total boondoggle.
Ever since the beginning of this season, I’ve advocated Chibnall stepping back from the day-to-day side of things, focusing on big picture ideas, with Whithouse or Jamie Mathieson serving as the story editor, like in the Who’s Classic Era. Chibnall repeatedly shoots himself in the foot when tries to write and story…
I am genuinely shocked that this and the other examples are writing from professional writers and not anonymously submitted at Reddit or Fleshbot.
I feel more inclined to watch The Good Place because of how she keeps spotlighting all these bad actors trying to co-opt female empowerment.
Chibnall really needs to step back and just write the season’s bookend stories. Doctor Who realllly needs to go back to the Classic Era’s model of hiring an executive producer and a story editor for the show. This new era would be considerably less awkward if you had an experienced writer, like Jamie Mathieson or Toby…
You can be a veteran/solider and be a piece of shit. Please stop furthering the belief that just because you’re a veteran that gives you the right to whatever ideological blank check you want.
I’m soooo tired of this school that says whatever your political affiliation, you get a pass because you’ve served in the military. That doesn’t excuse all the shitty, backward ass beliefs that Crenshaw holds.
Chibnall has interesting ideas but the execution of those story elements are always awkward, undercooked or simply awful. If he’s not careful, he’s gonna turn into John Nathan-Turner, another Doctor Who showrunner who had good ideas but didn’t have any business pretending to be a storyteller. And we all know how Chris…
If anyone’s curious, this is literally the plot of a West Wing episode, except in this instance Hof was a flaming bag of crap.
Pity the reporter who had to transcribe this idiot’s broken English and write a sympathetic narrative around how it sucks to be Logan Paul since it only takes him a half hour to earn a year’s salary. Three years in journalism school, $40K in student loan debt, and in one of the lowest paying jobs and he has to…
