Eh. My parents’ Mercedes recently had a recall for fire risk while parked after driving. The Auto stop/start system can overheat.

Thanks for this writeup. All the others I’ve seen are just PR talk about being a Tesla killer without going into any of the details of why this car really exists. This actually makes me believe their whole EV story more, knowing that they’re excited about the benefits of electric from a dynamism POV.
One detail to add to the discussions: Lightyear claims 5 sq meters of solar panels so significantly more than the 15 sq ft I’ve seen being thrown around.
After living with an EV for 6 months now, I wouldn’t mind integrated solar panels even if it meant just offsetting the vampire drain or loss due to cold weather.
You worked your numbers weird. You need 1666 hours of charging in a year to achieve 12000 miles. That works out to around 5 hours a day for 333 days a year. Which is more reasonable and within the realm of possibility in some regions.
That’s partially it, but it’s also noticeable on regular cars. The latest Toyota Corolla has been the worst recent car that comes to mind.
Lol, my first street photography course, my professor handed out his cell phone number. She said it was “just in case you get arrested.” Just saying, street photography is not exactly always welcome or tolerated.
Not only are there too many vents, they added a fake vent to the right of the screens.
Yeah, BMW’s new interiors look modern and clean. This just looks busy and fussy.
You’ve got that backwards. Revenue will tell you how much it sold for. It doesn’t tell you how much they cost to produce.
That’s good info, both from a “where can we go for help” and “where can we go to help”.
Yeah, seeing a few parents of friends say they’d travel when they retired, only to get sick in their 50s/60s and never make it to retirement was all the impetus I needed to travel young.
I see my building in that picture but I’m home too. Just got an alert from building security that subways are bypassing 7th ave stations in the area and that 7th Ave is closed from 49-57.
Fair enough, but from the driver’s perspective, he can’t see what’s going on in Seb’s cockpit, he’s just reacting to seeing a car go off and then come back onto the racing line. Anyone’s gonna be pissed if they just narrowly avoided contact.
Oh god. BS call for sure but not sure why the Hamilton hate. Guess you would’ve been one of the people booing him even when Seb said not to. I mean, did you want him to switch the placards for Seb? Maybe storm off and say I’m not taking part in this win.
I’d have no problems if the tax credit were limited by income, there are lots of things like IRAs and student loan interest deductions that phase out based on income.
Yeah, really the problem is that it gives fodder to the FUDders.
I don’t follow Cadillac much at all but I guess they went full Infiniti with the naming scheme?
You’re talking about two different things. You’re talking about your own personal long term outlook. When Uber investors say they’re investing for the long term, they’re talking about Uber’s long term outlook. They’re saying Uber needs time to grow their market and become an essential service, then they’ll start…
This is a pretty good analysis of where the money goes:
