Why aren’t there more people clamoring for an acoustic, unplugged album of all of Roman’s car-themed covers? Are we seriously not going to address the fact that he strummed out an Accord-centric rendition of Neon Genesis’ “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis”???!!!

Transaction prices are probably rising because the only people buying cars are wealthier people, hence, more expensive cars - last time I looked at the data, a lot of car categories are holding fairly steady on pricing, except for the better selling segments, like CUVs and SUVs.

But only if it has a red top

If you’re thinking about buying a Koenigsegg and you think the price is too low, you really ought to have all your money taken from you and be made to contemplate for a long time your shameful greed, preferably in the stocks.

Your take, while good, lacks seasoning - lemme help:

Counterpoint:

It’s a sign of the decline of America. I would like to think it’s a recognition that cars last longer and you can conserve environmental and financial resources, but it’s not because Americans since WW2 have been rampant consumers.

Why does the EchoSport look so awkward...and why isn’t it pronounced ECO-Sport? Why is Ford getting rid of all their cars?

Neutral...

Underneath those little bumpy panels has always been a somewhat mediocre small crossover with bad interior packaging and all the general mediocrity that Peugeot is known for throughout Europe. I drove a family friend’s when visiting family in Germany a few years ago and was seriously underwhelmed.

Yup. Want to go 2 miles away? Take the bus and spend an hour or walk there in 45 minutes.

I guess you didn’t get the memo.  Americans don’t solve problems anymore because it would infringe on their freedom or some other bullshit excuse.  In some cases, we’re regressing by turning some paved roads back into gravel due to the lack of funds.

Hear hear! I’m convinced that getting commuters out of their cars and onto bikes/buses/trains would actively improve motoring for enthusiasts. I honestly believe we as enthusiasts need to and should be the most vocal advocates for transit and cycling infrastructure, as those would make our hobby so much better.

If we were serious about this, we’d do what France did, and become 85% nuclear. Then, we’d tax the hell out of gas/diesel, while offering tax rebates on pure electric cars.

Who cares about the cost of gas? Living is cheap.

Neutral: What Would It Take to Get You to Drive Less?

I do think you’re going to start seeing more of this in regular sedans. Just look at the new Avalon and ES. Both traditional “soft” sedans, they’ve taken a decidedly sportier turn, at least in certain trims. What I’ve noticed selling cars is that pretty much all your normal “car is appliance” people have migrated to

Counterpoint: The Gran Coupe style is the most superior of all BMWs. Beautiful and sleek, roomy w/ 4 doors, hatchback versatility. They mashed together the best qualities of 3 car types.

you probably havent made (big) mistakes. Life just isnt fair. The one thing ive learned in 30 years of working full time is that (generally) hard work is no substitute for well off parents nad family connections.

I’m just going to tell myself this looks like my ‘18 Honda Accord and never think about the mistakes I’ve made in life that will never permit me to own this vehicle, k thx bye
