IIRC, the McLarens were only available with an autotragic transmission. And unlike today, back then an auto was really a step down in performance.

Sometimes I really fucking hate the car culture in America. Like Really, really, REALLY hate it.

Username checks out.

I wanted a Amigo when they came out. Fight me.

I’d say replace CAFE with higher fuel taxes. Let people make the choices they want to make, with the understanding that they’ll pay for the privilege. Those who can, will. Those who can’t will find other solutions.

Probably some guys in DC working on huge deal to rebrand AvtoVAZ, GAZ, and KamAZ as Buicks...because people will need to be encouraged to buy domestic.

THIS is why people of ordinary means can’t have nice convertibles any more.

I’m going to do it just because I don’t get yelled at enough … I liked the Sebring. Or more to the point, I liked one thing about it, the back seat. Because it had been designed to be a convertible, it had enough space in the back for people. It was that feature I really hated about the Cascade, which had the worst

It’s sad that another convertible is gone. Will there be a time where convertibles come back as I’m tired of the black and white crossovers dominating the world?

It’s almost like the people don’t understand that you can’t just keep taking money from the people at the bottom and then also expect them to have money to buy your shit.

The gig economy is a byproduct of unrestricted capitalism. It’s every corporation’s wet dream, writing off their workforce as independent contractors, or as some have the nerve to call it, “clients”, in order to make sure they can pay below minimum wage and offer virtually no benefits, scamming those same “clients”

Yep, and Holden, and Pontiac, and whatever I’ve forgotten.

Don’t lose your spirit and always be curious about future opportunities.

Let me take this opportunity to say that this is very sad.  I think I have dust in my eyes.

Please. The only correct way to stake out your spot is with a broken lawn chair and a three-legged card table.

Because people don’t care about driving and are bad with money. Why buy a $30,000 vehicle that drives better, has about the same amount of interior space and options, and gets better fuel economy when they can spend $50,000 on a truck?
