Decades ago, when I was young, I used to talk to my new white coworker’s 3-4 daughter on the phone all the time. When she had her baby, she took me home for lunch to see him and meet the daughter. Normally soooo talkative, the little girl was suddenly shy and staring as I held the fat baby dressed in all white. Her

Prince Charles, when he heard the news...

The royal family’s publicists are terrible. Did you see Prince Charles ridiculous photo OP ? Also Pedophile Prince Andrew is still living large off the family , yet they are investigating Meghan's "bullying ". The family is so backwards and arrogant

The superhero Captain BlackFriend has been wheeled out to rescue poor Willy from accountability.

Here’s the thing: White people feel that if they are good of heart, not overtly discriminatory, and therefore “not racist” they can speak “honestly” about people of color (see Paula Deen). No, you can’t. I’m a white person. I DO NOT KNOW.  My duty is to see, witness, speak out and most times just shut the fuck up

He discounted her racism allegations against the palace. Which isn’t the same as calling her straight out of Compton for being a black woman from LA or depicting her unborn child as a monkey to cite other incidents in the British press, but refusing out of hand to take specific allegations of racism seriously is

I was about to ask if the Firm was going to investigate Prince Andrew and whoever made the comments about Archie's skin color, but I guess no investigation is needed if you know who did it and you're not doing anything about it.

Especially Black women.

When women stand up for themselves it’s labelled “you have a bad attitude”, “why can’t you just get along with everyone”, “we don’t want to upset that person, so whatever they did to you, just take it”.

Sharon gave a master class on white fragility and white female victimhood live and in color and got dragged by black twitter in real time. And had the nerve (the unmitigated gaul) to do it in defense of piers morgan.

Morgan has been publicly bashing Markle for over 5 years. Is that what a nice person does?

Look, people are allowed to fuck up. That was a huge fuck up. It’a what you do after the fuck up that matters. A lot of us have said or done really shitty things out of a place of ignorance, hate, misinformation, how we were raised, etc. and then learned and corrected the behaviour. He’s clearly done a lot of work,

I haven’t forgotten, although I do think he’s grown quite a bit since that time. I don’t see how it follows that Meghan can’t experience racism, though.

I’m of the same belief. The vast majority of us are products of a racist society. No matter how kind and understanding of a person you are, you absorb many of that society’s biases both consciously and unconsciously. Which is why the antiracism is work that never ends. There’s always more to learn and unlearn. It’s

Especially when someone who is black says you are being racist! You don’t get to say “Nope, I’m not racist at all”

Saying “I’m not racist” is just about the worst thing you can say* when someone accuses you of racism. It basically just confirms that you’re racist—that you don’t care how your words and actions affect others, that you don’t spend time thinking about unconscious (or conscious) biases, that haven’t educated yourself

“Rude & racist are not the same”

Counterpoint: if it was a warm day, no tights is vastly more comfortable than wearing tights. It’s ridiculous to force a small child to be uncomfortable because of “tradition.” That has nothing to do with Hollywood or Instagram.

Talk about a tempest in a teapot. When the dust settles its going to land on the palace. I don’t think it will damage the reputations of Mr. and Mrs. Sussex and really just underlines that there was a need for them to get the hell of that dreamed up cage fight which was built by the press, and curiously, egged on by
