On a fresh install or creating a new profile this saves lots of time. It really is annoying and interrupts your work flow.
avg av, sygate fw, spybot w/ teatimer. All free. I have total control over my downloads and communications. They don't hog resources either.
@phoenix re huge file size in handbrake - by default it rips to an uncompressed format that is gigantic. You need to go to video>compression and choose a compressed format. If you want it smaller after that, you can compress it more using VirtualDub.

No one editor does it all. NoteTab Light has the best search/replace I think, but no color/syntax. Notepad++ is the best otherwise...but I don't use either much any more. Learn vim people! :)

Well, I've used this method for a while and it works well. However, I notice that you cannot drag a link from a web page to the bookmark bar any more—you have to follow the link and drag it from the address bar down. (I still want that show/hide button...please?)
I like how the Web Developer Toolbar has a button that you can click to bring it up/down. Is this possible for the bookmarks toolbar?

Mine has a keyring clip but I don't have it attached to my keys unless it's plugged in at a public terminal. That way I may leave without it but I can't drive home and must go back for it.
