It’s obvious when a show casts someone to serve a diversity agenda and when it just feels natural. The problem with Dark Matter is it seems like an agenda is being pushed. In contrast to something like DS9 which displayed a variety of characters with positive and negative attributes, DM has the men almost all being dangerous or inept, and the women are universally strong, smart and fixing everything.
