I find this theory neither weird nor convincing. It’s not weird because the movie is totally transparent that they had to fill gaps (and as I recall Jurassic World explicitly asserts that the dinos were modified to look like we expected). It’s not convincing because nothing in Spielberg’s directorial history suggests

Don’t worry, the people who think the same way are now in Government and are in charge of a lot of the funding the research you and your wife do!

Since he was also a Luddite and climate change denier, I wouldn’t trust his opinion on pretty much anything.

“Back in 2016, I would use a very fancy pop culture website!!! (Whoa). It was the AV club (Av!) The AV club! Don’t act like you don’t know! Now with Kinja, I’m trying to hold onto it’s past. It’s been so long but I don’t think we’re gonna last. I guess I’ll try and make you understand. That Kinja and a new site layout

I don’t think you’re wrong - but Herb offers drastically greater specificity into Bojack’s experience of How Fucked Up Hollywoo Is™ than the show’s offered to this point. A great deal of the show’s shorthand for the industry meatgrinder isn’t up-ended by this episode; I don’t think that’s the point. I take from it

Community was too good for this world, probably why they put the last season on a service no one could see. Hope you make it out of the grays soon, my original post on this thread is what did it for me.

And speaking of the documentary or mockumentary format, I LOVE how Community, usually thru Abed, made fun of the format/style and exposed how lazy it can become.

The Good Place, though. It’s definitely up there, haven’t seen a show have that good of a first season in awhile. Let’s hope s2 is just as good or even better.

Community was definitely the best.

Parks and Rec had the best ensemble, The Office had the most talented single cast member (Carell), 30 Rock had the best throw away one liner jokes...

I would install that app. We could probably get someone on Fiver to code the app, then we need someone to set up a cryptocoin that we’re going to use as our currency to pay using the app, we do an initial coin offering so people hoping to get in on the ground floor of our new crypto-juice-economy give us bitcoins, we

The AV Club

I’m too drunk to edit this comment

Do you have kids? I know which I’d punt into a volcano.

This comment is the peak self-regarding douchebag. Guy commenting on pop culture website looks down upon notion of commenting on pop culture with haughty, superior disdain.

I think the fundamental flaw of Jim Halpert is that they don’t let him grow up. I mean they do, but...early seasons he’s a flawed guy. He’s an underachiever not living up to his potential. He’s a bit of a dick to his annoying coworker.

I’ve only watched The Office once through but I always thought that Jim becomes pretty dickish in the later seasons. The episodes where Idris Elba is the new boss and calls him on his antics come to mind.

They hold up really well. These two reviews so far only seem to serve as a justification for AV Club originally panning the series completely based on the first half.
