Completely agree, it was a complete directional change in how the arc was presented and pacing. Which definitely was more appealing to some.

See, I didn’t see Mereum(Meruem?) as sympathetic at all. I found it kinda cringe.... But there in lies the differences. I really like Greed Island because it was fun and goofy, I don’t find it dull at all. :)

That actually makes a lot of sense cause they didn’t have that kind of exposition dumps in the other seasons, at least not that much.

No.... Most developers don’t create the console version first. Most make the PC version first and then tone things down for consoles and such which is generally how it’s done.

It’s also Blizzard listening to their customers. People have been clamoring for more backstory, a PvE game type, and more lore.... Blizzard is just doing the business route and making people pay for an additional expansion (marketed as a sequel because sequels get more hype and sell better than DLC’s/expansions)

See, I’d disagree that it’s coming from a place of greed only because for years the player base has been clamoring for a PvE mode, or a story mode, or a way to get more lore....
