The problem is two fold. 1) The lack of communication from Niantic. When’s the last time you’ve heard anything from Niantic other than “this will be coming ‘soon’.”? and 2) Niantic doesn’t understand Pokemon. It’s a catch’em all game in it’s most simplest form... But there is a lot more to it than just catch’em all.

I actually played Ingress but from what I remember, Niantic was tight lipped about things then also.

It took months to figure out certain clues. The ARG kept giving us bits and pieces, but never enough to really find anything of true substance.... And then they had one clue which NO ONE could figure out and they had to pivot and release a count down clock for her release....

I feel like this is a breakdown of three parts, if not more.

Niantic has always been this way... They’ve always been bad about talking to the people using their app. It was the same with Ingress, and why would they talk with us? The majority of people who are outspoken or comment are the ones who are constantly yelling about what you’re saying, or asking where this or that…

You might want to go back and rewatch the announcement trailers and some of the stuff that Niantic “promised us”. Remember everyone gathering in Times Square to battle Mewtwo? I do, but that type of battling isnt’ in the game. Nor is decent tracking, nor is the majority of Gen 2 pokemon, Nor trading, etc.
