I watched the video, and she didn't even eat the watermelon while wearing cornrows. She was in a diff part of the video where she was laying out on a lounge chair with her hair in a ponytail or loose braid ponytail. It was supposed to imply summer I think.

Did they come out and say they weren't going to hire her for her cornrows? That seems impossible to know otherwise. She could just be assuming that's the reason she didn't get hired.

It is too much to ask. This is a free country. Take it for what it is, flattery. And don't get hurt if some Kardashian wears it and creates buzz about it. Everyone knows she didn't invent it. For that matter, who did invent it? Unless you know the history of the braids, you don't even know if there's any

Who is suspending people for wearing cornrows? I've never heard that. You have to remember that all schools or school districts have their own rules, which vary all over the country, and even your town. I would love to see an example of the suspensions and who is doing it.

It seems okay because it is okay. A well known American artist incorporating the sound can only help the Afro-Caribbean music scene.

Me too! It's the only reason I can figure they even mentioned this because it doesn't seem like the normal interest of the AV Club audience.

I missed the Twin Peaks experience because I was too busy going out all the time so missed the first half of the season. Then when everyone started talking about it it was already long into its run and I wanted to watch from the beginning. I didn't have a vcr then, so I missed it.

I saw it there too. Maybe we crossed paths. The audience loved it.

I watched The Day After when it aired. In fact, our high school teacher assigned it as homework, and we also had to watch the panel discussion that aired after the show with Carl Sagan. My sister was scared, and I was like, meh, what are you going to do? Totally out of our control. I later read On the Beach and it

I bet your mom was real happy lol

Lol, that's what I was thinking!

I had no interest in seeing Star Wars when it was released, even though all the boys in my third grade class talked about it incessantly and how many times they went to see it (apparently a lot because some of them had gone to the theater at least 25 times to see it). I was forced to take my little cousin to see it

Who tolerates Westborough Baptist? Only the few members of the church, many of whom are related.

She basically did do that in the first episode. She cut her off and told her to get a paying job, because they weren't going to pay her rent anymore.

You were right. I forget this show isn't long enough for them to get too dramatic. With only two episodes left I guess they couldn't really delve into another story like that.

I hope they have a flash forward. And I really hope that hairstyle is not happening in purpose. When I watched that preview, I saw a whole bunch of flashbacks to earlier seasons. It seemed to me that they deliberately did not show anything from the finale. But I could be wrong. I was certainly wrong about Jessa

How was she casually racist? I must have missed that or forgotten.

Only if you respond.

Totally agree. If I hadn't started watching the after show interview, I may have given up on this show a few seasons ago. And I would hate Lena Dunham. I just can't hate her now.

That's why I love rewatching shows after the final run.
