Friends, Seinfeld, and Law & Order all look pretty good in HD, but it seems all of their production companies had the foresight to shoot on film instead of videotape so the conversion has been less problematic.

They may be messing up Buffy, but at least Pivot is giving Veronica Mars a proper HD experience. It was fairly hit or miss on WB / CW back during it's original airings, but the HD transfers from the show's 16mm prints look great now.

He lost a good chunk of the Buffy rights when he optioned out the original screenplay so he no longer has full control over the Buffy / Angel franchise. His later properties like Firefly and Dollhouse are fully controlled by his own production company.

He does and he doesn't. Buffy's ownership is a bit murky since there's also the Kuzuis that own certain rights to the character (film I believe) and Fox (distribution of the show / movie as well as merchandising based on those). Joss has continued working on the comic spinoffs of Buffy and Angel which are considered

At least they'll have something to talk about in the ambulance.

The random expensive sports cars alone will require the sale of like 15 units per rental car - assuming it's not just stock footage. OK - it's probably stock footage.

So you're saying Cuba Gooding Jr. has a chance for the next reboot?

She's great in the animated world, but I'd love Viola Davis to play the part.

The Legend of Bagger Vance maybe? Never saw it but Matt Damon seemed positioned as the star.

My pick for worst movie of 2013 gets a sequel so… yay?

Those machines are surprisingly durable. Watch for one to be my watery grave in the next sequel in 2015/2016.

I blame Abrams more than Disney. The other film divisions (Marvel, Pixar, Animation, Live Action) put out lots more information in comparison to the Lucas one.

They sorta do that with games. Only select markets have PS4 / Xbox One titles available.

I actually use Redbox fairly frequently to catch-up on smaller releases that may not get a big theatrical run around here. I know in the past few months I've picked up In a World, Under the Skin, and The Railway Man among others.

Serial - the topic du jour for pop culture bloggers that no average person you know has actually bothered with.

I agree 100%. The show got far less interesting with the removal of Twisty who was both the scariest and most interesting character.

Well, considering her first interaction with Quill is kicking his ass and trying to steal a priceless artifact that will guarantee him wealth for life, it's kinda understandable that he's a bit cold to her in the first act.

Will post-Mariah Nick Cannon even be qualified for this as he will no longer be rich nor famous?

Direct to Red Box!

Go-Bots and The Corps are just as fondly remembered as Transformers and GI Joe.
