I disagree a lot with this. You're approaching it all wrong. If you try to read and learn everything before getting in and playing, of course you'll never have any fun! When I first started playing I didn't do any if that. I just played matches and enjoyed the discovery of learning a new character every time I played.

This is the worst official trailer I've seen in a while. 12 seconds of showing me some slow-mo suicide. Then it's followed up with a very dramatic camera pullback through branches that are visually clipping because it's too close to the camera. These add up to half the trailers length!

Team Fortress 2 shouldn't have been taken off. It's still relevant and is widely played on steam today. Smart to stay away from the MoBA's to not enrage the masses over not picking their favorite (even though mine is DoTA2)

Thanks. It's fun to do and as much as I'd like to think it's about us... I think a lot of people stay for the puppy cam. ;)

Repost from my computer to avoid broken links:

My wife and I, plus our beagle Gracie, host a nightly Dota 2 stream called Ball and Chain Gaming. We play with viewers and keep thing friendly. Vome to say hi, stay for the puppy.

My favorite from x and x-2 is the besaid theme

I do not think 9 holds up at all. Played it again a few months ago and lost my interest fast. I remember liking it a lot when it first came out though. I imagine I'd feel the same way about 10. Oddly to me, I had the reverse feeling with 7 when I played it again. I feel like it was a better game than I remembered.

It's pretty much the best part of other M for me. It's also the first thing you watch when you play so it goes down hill pretty quick after that.

Have you ever seen the Other M intro cinematic of that scene? the Mother Brain impact shot is pretty brutal

Some forms of media are best left to our nostalgia memories.

(Horse Armor aside) Bethesda games, Mass Effect, and Rock Band seemed like the best case examples for DLC

Didn't Azura's wrath do something like that too? Putting a real ending behind a paywall is certainly a dirty practice. My only argument would be my favorite DLC experiences from last gen: Shadow Broker(Mass Effect), Broken Steel (Fallout 3), and Rock Band songs.

I don't really agree.

I came into this article thinking Mother 3. Specifically the commercialization of Tamzilly Village. It really makes you wonder what our lives would be like if money wasn't such an important factor.

-Legend of Zelda on 3DS I got for $10 by taking advantage of an eshop promotion (technically $20 b/c I bought a club nintendo code from someone for $10).
-Black Friday I got the Last of us for $25
-My wife and I played through all of Beyond Two Souls. That was a rental from Gamefly which is I'm doing a free trial with.

This is true. Sold my ps4 at $570. Even at that price the profit is not worth it after fees. I do believe the prices listed in the article are wrong though. All the ones recently selling are above $500

Reminds me of the time I found a spider in my Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles gamecube case (had to dig deep into an old photobucket account to find this one). He crawled in there, made a web, got stuck and died. It can happen to anyone. I lived in a normal middle-class 4 BR house growing up. Bugs find a way!
