I’m only 4 episodes in, and while I get the hate it has gotten for it’s pacing, I actually kind of like the way Finn Jones plays Danny. The voice and cadence are right (if you’re comparing him to the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes version of Danny Rand, and the disconnect he has with society is fitting for someone who has

I definitely enjoyed it more than Luke Cage. But yeah, what you listed are definitely the high points. And pretty much all of the action sequences are spot on.

David Wenham as Harold Meachum

Same here. it became the rape & torture of the week show. It baffles me how so many people are still so into it.

But that’s alternatively what makes the world intriguing. The modern idea of justice and revenge is turned on its head in this show, where things are positively medieval and you get a sense of how horrible it must have been to live in an age where these sorts of morals and ethics were the norm and expected.

Dumping of two of its heroes’ major love interests in this way indicates that Marvel considers many of its female leads rather disposable, which isn’t great.

Man the gritty reboot of the Elf on a Shelf looks great

Dammit I thought I fixed that immediately.

“A wall you say? Hi there.”

That’s a much better take than just calling it “mind-boggingly offensive”. What has bothered me about this from the beginning is the virulent response to CULTURAL APPROPRIATION because a white guy learned Kung Fu and got really good at it. It would be a much more original and interesting story in 2017 to show a

So, this is Shadowrun, the early years?

I am so excited for the Power Rangers movie and I don’t care who knows it. I know I will likely be disappointed but let me enjoy this next month in blissful ignorance.

I thought the previous fight with LMD Mace had some creative elements like knocking one leg out from under him, or to boost her own jump. But as the fight drew on I was getting annoyed that she wasn’t using her powers to actually hit him. There was no reason for it to last that long. She could have quake-punched

You are lucky you have some cool stuff show cause gorram you are the dumbest. Like speedster getting hit by slow moving tranq darts even after getting warning. Or a speedster running straight at a prepared defense and not even phasing through when the shield got in way. Or the “lets freeze someone to near death

My guess (well, my in-universe guess, my real world guess is that George Lucas didn’t know what a parsec was) was that the longer route was safer for smugglers and avoided any dangerous spots with heavy Imperial presence, and Han Solo must have done something insane like take the Falcon through the middle of an active

Exactly. And aside from the real world explanation that at that time Darth Vader wasn’t planned to be Luke’s father, this makes sense. You’re gonna tell a kid that you just met that his father turned into one of the most evil people in the galaxy and you cut his arm and legs off and left him for dead on a lava planet?

...will the daughters withhold important information from various other characters for no particular reason other than dragging out the plot?

Yes. The single best moment of Joss Whedon’s run was watching the passing out on his feet Punisher trying to stay conscious through the shock and pain after being punched by an 11 year old who can toss cars.

Can we already demand a cross over with Marvel’s Netflix shows just so we can see this? PLEASE?!

This isn’t a “realistic” story. It’s an unrealistic story about a person whose morals are completely unlike ours. He does hold himself to a higher standard, but that standard places no value on life. He’s not a hero, and not trying to be one.
