Didn’t Hannibal’s second season open with Hannibal and Crawford beating the ever-loving shit out of each other? Seems like maybe that shoulda made the list.

I think it’s more that Marvel is inconsistent about how much they care to connect the movies and the shows, rather than that they are bad at them, and that this is sort of an endemic issue with the MCU. Which is the most comic book-y thing of all, really.
This is mind-boggling. I guarantee you that no-one with power gives enough of a fuck about Brand to frame him for anything. He’s actually less relevant to public life than ever before, thanks to his alt-right grifter reinvention.
There’s no #MeToo wing of SAG-AFTRA or any other industry organization. It’s just a hashtag people used. There’s no “they”. There’s people acting independently and in different ways and with differing degrees of response or even influence in light of mounting (but generalized) public pressure — many of them just…
I can see his point of view and yours.
I’d recommend reading what he actually said, rather than what the AV Club headline says he said. He’s not really arguing anything, he’s just musing in a response to a question in an interview, and the vultures who make money through clickbait *cough* are having a field day.
I always feel bad for him given that he is also an accomplished writer of his own original SF and fantasy novels but everyone of a certain age (older GenXers) always associate him with the novelizations of basically every SF and fantasy movie from the 1970s and 1980s.
Nearly as free, but not nearly as well-viewed, I imagine. The problem with music videos is that they’re (comparatively) long, and the minute a song comes on people don’t like, they’ll change the channel. Ridiculousness video runtimes are measured in seconds. It’s almost the textbook definition of second screen…
Hot Dog
That’s great and all, but it doesn’t matter for several reasons, the first being that this is a basic review of a streaming tv show on a media site gutted by investor vultures. Get a grip.
i imagine it’s a good way to get up close and sweaty with their fellow classmates. they’re teenagers, they’re supposed to be stupid. makes sense the plan wouldn’t be entirely baked.
I know complaining about the meaning of words and sentences is sorta missing the point of the modern AVClub, but “when things fell from the sky, there were real things falling from a helicopter” doesn’t mean that each and every thing falling was coming from a helicopter, or he would have said, “when things fell from…
He’s right for what we can gather are the wrong reasons.
I honestly don’t know why they didn’t just make her a teen mom who gave her kid up for adoption so she could go after her musical dreams, but I think Shelby is supposed to be 18 - 21 and Rachel is like 15 - 16 so not quite as egregious.
She’s in her 50s, you know. An entirely appropriate age for the aunt of a high schooler.
Honestly, the Rise of the Beasts kind of sucked. It was just a boring, lifeless version of a Michael Bay Transformers movie. Love em or hate em, at least those movies went all in. And the GI Joe teaser at the end certainly made me roll my eyes. Maybe if they hadn’t already tried (and failed) to kickstart a GI Joe…
Do you think the producers of Saw ever say to themselves: ‘Man, I wish we’d had the foresight to not kill off our franchise’s main antagonist in the third film, so we wouldn’t have to keep finding ever-more laborious ways to justify his presence in subsequent sequels. I mean, in hindsight, we could’ve just made him a…
I can’t believe they got a whole social media platform to rebrand to promote this movie.
He’s voiced by an actual 15-year-old. You’re thrown off because you’re used to the Turtles being voice acted by grown men in their 30's.
I mean Batgirl Is voiced by Kaley Cuoco's sister...so it’d be a bit ..weird?
