President Obama was being held up by a Congress who is a coalition of a diverse electorate. It’s extremely important to have all policy approved by both houses and the president as it ensures democracy does not devolve into mob-rule where a simple majority can tyrannize the minority.

Everyone has to stop with the “well they did it so we can too.”
Stop the pendulum from swinging right to left, then back to the right again. Make elections less consequential by taking control of things at a more local level where you have much more influence.

Compound Trump’s terrifying shortcomings with Obama’s strengthening of the Executive and a Republican-controlled Congress, and you have a recipe for unchecked executive overreach. Federal employees will be creating and implementing policies that further this overreach. There’s real fear here.
