Oh man, I would love a non-evil Wells to be playing basically the same part in future seasons after fake Wells is gone.

Jeez, we got it the first 2 times.

I saw Cake headline and they were pretty good, not amazing and a repeat Cake-viewing acquaintance I bumped into at the show claimed they had phoned it in that night and the other times he saw them they were better.
But it is relevant to the thread because Paper Lions opened for them and they were amazing, we bought

Maybe they came in late to the previous showing and just stayed through to the part they came in at? Or did you see them come in?

Isn't that how you say W. E. B. Du Bois?

I saw Muse last year, yes, they were great live — it was a stadium show, I mean not like a giant one and I don't think it was sold out, but it was a pretty big crowd. Cool stage setup and effects, too.

When we saw them with Matthew Sweet, Booth was in a neck brace. It was still a pretty great show.

Not schill, shill.

It was mostly that, actually, but novelized so Terman was a point of view character for most of it. (In the novel he didn't marry the beautiful virtuoso). I didn't look up his real biography, but in the book he was Russian and only lived in the US after inventing the theremin.

I like those Castor books, I'm only up to book 3 or 4 though. The Ben Aaronovitch books about Peter Grant feel similar to me although PC Grant is a police officer with an older magical mentor rather than a noir-ish exorcist with a tragic past.

Yes, I enjoyed the book but the movie was…uneven? I partly watched it because it was filmed near me, plus good book, plus Radcliffe…not sure it really ever decided if it wanted to be mystery, horror, or black comedy.

Sequel to City of Stairs (I also loved it) has been announced, it has a different protagonist and City in the title. Also, more Sigurd.

And think of the property damage he prevented.

An hour away hardly seems like long distance — my work and home are an hour apart and I make the trip ten times a week.

Now I want to know what the rest of that question was.

Did she specifically say she wanted to date *you* for a year before having sex? Maybe she'd been dating someone else for 49 weeks already.

That is a Thing in this show, characters just spontaneously coming up with the comic book names. Yeah, it's usually Cisco but it doesn't have to always be.

Two good band names in one comment section, AotA is killing it today.

Tawny Knothole is a great band name.

I'm not going to see Shonen Knife Saturday either, that does suck.
