The only thing I have in common with the good doctor is a sensitive sense of smell and an overriding desire to maintain my freedom above all else.

Ever the gracious sparrer.
My good sir, I merely pointed out that the Ortolan is not an endangered or threatened species. I couldn't give a fig (har har) if their consumption is legislated against.
But in the therapy session we are told Verger cultivated the children's company because they were disadvantaged and thus "would do anything for a candy bar. We are also told he had taken liberties with some of them but the charges had been lessened or something.
Sweetbreads can be sweet, however. Pancreas, thymus and spleen are, compared to liver or kidney or heart, much sweeter on the palate.
I've had Ortolan before, it's very delicious, the armagnac combining with the blood and "cleaned" entrails to provide a veritable assault on one's senses.
Blinkered by my metaphor? Good god, a metaphor is simply a way of illustrating an idea. I could just as easily have used rivers and rocks or wind and tennis to illustrate my point which is a dominant, totalitarian ideology will always conquer a tolerant, submissive one.
I was trying to engage in that "guilt by association" fallacy so popular on the internet but you've gone and spoiled it!
"I happen to enjoy Western civilization, and recognize that its strengths come from the dialogic mixing through democracy of myriad varied and sometimes novel perspectives,"
I'll see your McVeigh and raise you a Lanza and Holmes.
There is no such thing as "privilege", it's something made up by guilt-ridden morons who, in times past, would have likely been self-flagellating monks.
Lol, make a passive aggressive comment prefaced with a "lol" and ended with an emoticon so that the true psychological nastiness you perpetrated is lessened for you ;)
Interesting that all of those people you mentioned were either firmly on the left or practiced a form of socialism.
You don't think forcing "equality" at the detriment of non-minorities' civil liberties and freedom of speech and conscience isn't a little fascistic?
Do you have a source for that? I was amongst those saddened at his apparent departure.
Really? I used to love him as a kid but I'm sure most of the jokes went over my head.
What's wrong with white males?
I asked why there was no critical analysis as to why it was poorly rated, in other words what inherently made it a poor show, not what a poor rating means quantitively since that's kind of obvious: less people watched it.
So no critical analysis as to why it was the most poorly rated, just a statement of facts?
Never as funny as Big McLargehuge.
