I'll admit that I don't have ambient mode on (and so it requires a shake or more likely a touch to display the time), but I'm very rarely under 60% battery by the end of the day. It's no Pebble, of course, but I feel like even with ambient mode on it can't be as bad in regular use as some people seem to think.
