I enjoyed this show. Sad that it’s ending.

I just scrolled through my voice recording history on Amazon. A bunch of the “text not available. not intended for alexa” recordings were snippets of conversations where I said “Oh, actually” and Alexa thought I was saying “Alexa.” Nothing too serious, though some were work-related, but there were definitely a lot of

Yes, that is how it works. Nominees are voted on only by those in the applicable branch, except for Best Picture.

Right - but this is a furloughed person sitting at the bar getting a single draft beer poured for him/her compliments of the donor.

Why are you all looking at your friends tips/credit card receipts anyway? I tip my 20 % and can’t be bothered to care about looking at other peoples’ payments.

Craft brewers fall into that group. They can’t bring new beers to market while the federal alcohol regulator is closed. And new breweries can’t get permits to open. (Or wineries or distilleries..)

Have you ever been to a brewery in DC? That’s pretty much normal beer pricing for a draft craft beer.

If I was eating the food in the country for a week (which I was), I can also eat it on the flight home.  And I can certainly drink the cans of ginger ale on the plane without having to bring my own. I also probably bought those cans in-country.

That’s true if you order something like a Martini Shaken. Numbs the whole thing. But a drink poured over like 1/3 of the cup of ice: enhances the experience.

Only read the headline? The first paragraph mentions smuggling in booze.

Of course, taste in movies is subjective, but here are a few I enjoyed recently: BPM (Beats Per Minute), Like a Brother, Elliot Loves, Boys [Dutch].  (Also, God’s Own Country and Handsome Devil, but those are actually available on streaming.)

I agree. Especially for less mainstream genres, Netflix just wouldn't bother with streaming rights. Many of the foreign LGBT films that I watch aren't available in the streaming side, just on the DVD side.

Didn't read the article? It says the standards are forthcoming.

Sometimes the table is seated before the server gets a chance to grab the money.  What’s awkward about it? When I arrive at a table with money on it, I don’t get awkward, I just leave it there until the server picks it up.

Disney probably did the due diligence. It’s just that there used to not be people digging archives of old tweets.

    you’re definitely trying too hard.

I go to Disney World regularly. I would be thrilled if those MAGA ppl stayed away.

I do feel bad for them. But shows get cancelled ALL THE TIME, for a variety of reasons. It’s the nature of the job.

They must be freaking out about Disney’s new line of official Pride merchandise.

I hope they don’t hire a lawyer who only did copyrights. This is a trademark case.
