There should be mentioned somewhere that death here is something to be avoided, in contrast to other FPS. If you die here you will most likely not return to the fight.

As x3rx3s said, ArcCorp is more or less a factory world. It is one big industrial area, so no one has bothered with the aesthetics.
Automatically procedural generated material wont be in the game until years after the release. I don't think they plan on doing completely automatically generated cities.
They will auto-guide you from space down to the planet. Solar systems and planets are their own instances. The landing sequence is just a clever and nice looking way to hide the loading screen.
