Is trying to present herself as well rounded "hyperpolitical" then? Also, she seems to have gone roughly chronologically with her titles...until is wanders off into getting cute and funny. She DID in fact say SO MUCH OTHER STUFF about herself in that little profile summary. Chill!

Are people freaking out? Where?

That would make sense. The whole "first lady" as a title thing always seems strange to my Canadian mind.

Help me out people - what is FLOAR? Google refuses to explain.

Oh whatever, it's cute.

Besides the point, but I had to look up what the hell a Salutatorian was. I've never heard of one before.

It's true. The episodes of these shows seem to all trying to outdo each other to be as random, wacky and obnoxious as possible.

Too true!

My daughter is now about the age I was when I used to watch Boy Meets World. I looked at that picture and compared to all the annoying little pre-teen shows she likes to watch now and realized that some things never change - 99% of those shows are still white kid with friends & family and token black or other POC

Bah-ha-ha!

That is just...hard to look at.

Yesterday night I finished watching season one with Mr. Nectarine, who has never read the books. He was so adorably shocked and sad and enraged when they beheaded Ned. Then I went online and saw that the Red Wedding episode had aired. My first thought was that if he thought losing Ned was bad, I can't wait to see

Sadly, this would seem to be such an easy tactic I wouldn't be surprised if there are other pedophiles pulling the same disgusting stunt.

As best I remember, our Valedictorian had to be nominated by fellow students, and selected by staff. You had to have a certain grade level

Wow, that is a really intense situation you are facing. I'm glad you've ditched your awful, abusive ex and I really hope you and kitty find a safe place to be.

Maybe Will needs to go on and read the article linked up there by Mara Wilson. That girl is so smart.

Buuut I think that's been part of GoT's success, it appeals to fantasy lovers and non-fantasy lovers alike. While I have my own geeky areas of interest which I'm totally comfortable owning, fantasy in a medieval setting would usually not be my thing at all, but I love these books and the show!

Greenday's Dookie, but Jagged Little Pill was a close second.

Ooh, R&J soundtrack still rocks my world. Good choice!

That is awesome! I have worked in family shelters, and it often seemed to me that things were especially hard for teens. They are old enough to understand what is going on in their situation, but lack much real power to do anything about it. Their parents often rely on them for a lot of help. They are often trying
