This is a HUGE deal. This car gives the average American access to a supercar for roughly the price of a loaded pickup truck.

Ask 10 different people which Chevy truck generation looks the best and you’ll likely get 10 different answers.

Too many miles IMO.

When I was young and had a ton of time on my hands, a friend and I did an experiment to see who would stop and help with a broken down car. One was a brand new “sports car,” another a beat-up Honda Civic that looked like it came from the wrong side of town.

Disagree.

A great way to keep your transportation expenses as low as possible is to maintain your vehicle by the owner’s manual, and to keep it clean.

It’s never too late to oil spray it!

Paper cookbooks are a PITA.

While their wives have moved onto CUVs, the dads will defend these minivans to the moon. “All of the usefulness of a pickup, but with the costs of a car!”

I love how gas prices magically drop as soon as this happens.

I’ve gotten into SO many arguments over the years with people who bought brand new cars because their old one needed a repair. “It just wasn’t worth throwing money into.” So they go out and buy (finance) a $ 30,000+ new car.

I had the funniest thing happen the last time I flew.

Me in the window seat, a 30-something guy in the aisle seat next to me. Plane was a CRJ-900.

What about the random delays when out of cell service but using WiFi-Calling? I’m sick of my messages not sending (and not receiving messages sent to me) until after I return to a coverage area.

I’ve heard about the Hemi swaps as well. It would be nice to find a how-to guide somewhere that shows you how to do it. I mean I’m sure it can bolt up with the right mounts - my concern would be getting the electronics to talk to one another, and also getting the truck to pass NY inspection (they plug into the ECM,

There must be a way to persuade RAM to make a HEMI Dakota manual 4x4. There just has to be.

Nice! Never knew you could get the QC with a stick.

19 MPG is my best fillup thus far, going down a mountain in 5th gear. When I tow I am lucky to get 10. I also do not care because I did not buy this for fuel economy.

I wrote about this a while back:

When are people going to wake up and realize these jacked-up cars are actually the station wagons of the 21st century?

This is fantastic, I wish more people did this. There’s something about old cars/trucks/SUVs/JEEPs/Boats/Anything with an engine that I can’t quite put a finger on. Don’t get me wrong, new cars are awesome, but there’s something about a vehicle that’s been down the road a few times that never ceases to amaze me.
