Corvette even.
Corvette even.
Not sad about this. I’m only sad about the IDX concept.
If it was a modern version of a straight 6, I would be all over it. The L28 is what made the original Z unique.
The Good news (GN) and Bad News (BN)
It would be a $60k car likely, and no one would buy it.
This is one of the topics I could read about for ever, and still walk away with no real solution. From my perspective (35ish), the nature of ones career(s) plays a HUGE part in it. In my mid to late 20s I was killing myself (really) trying to move up the ladder. By my 30s, like most of my friends, I started putting…
“Welcome to ‘name all the cars’! A show where you name all the cars that are, have been and ever were!”
When David Tracy offers to buy it.
You sound.... Racist.
Really? This is the first time you realized formula one drivers are overwhelmingly white?
The reason why it is significant is because he is still the ONLY one in the sport. And! Get this: he’s not going to fit himself into some form-mould that F1 and it’s “culture” try to force drivers into. He’s going to be his own guy, do what he wants, and like it or not, he is an ICON in the black community around the…
As far as 99% of the population is concerned, it’ll be a sports car in terms of function: The 2.7L with the eight-speed should make it fire off like a rocket ship, and the suspension will be tight enough to basically ignore the ride height issues at anything short of a race track.
The Ford’s extra power and torque though is negated by its extra curb weight; it weighs roughly 500 lbs. more than a Stelvio when both are in 2.0 AWD configuration. Despite the Edge being in a larger class, it’s only an inch wider than the Stelvio and four inches longer. The only major difference I see in interior…
I can think of a couple answers:
All of them?
+1 for wanton destruction of Ferraris -1 for wanton destruction of the environment. But good creativity.
You could probably purchase a couple of top level racing teams for that amount of money. Certainly you could afford to buy an F3 team, an F2 team, and an F1 team and race your way up the ladder until you’re an F1 driver. Would be a fun way to blow a couple hundred million.
Yeah, it’s weird how they don’t mention 1 performance specification of the car. It accelerates as fast as a _____? It can go around a track in the same time as a _____?
Except for Mustang & truxk/suv/cuv enthusiasts the rest of the blue oval guys want the high margin vehicles to pick up the tab. ST cars might have squeaked by and probably the RS as well but the base cars were either no or negative margin vehicles.
