WorldRX is better than GRC
WorldRX is better than GRC
American can mean of the two continents, but it’s imprecise and prone to confusion given it’s also used for the US. Americas is pretty much always used to refer to the greater continents and removes all doubt.
Americas is also used to identify both north and south American continents at the same time.
The linked article calls it Americas Rallycross (Bolding mine), not American, which would seem to include Canada, though not the UK.
2 out of 3 events so far are being held in North America, so it is predominantly American...
Sorry, I’m going to call foul on this kvetching. “American” can be and often is used as a synonym for USian, but it’s also valid to apply it to the entire western hemisphere. 2 out of 3 so far are American.
In the US, it wouldn’t have been called frivolous, and he would have also sued the city for putting a lamp post in the way of his car.
I know someone who took over the lease on one of these about a year ago to help out a friend who had to move away. She is not a ‘car person’ and has only ever driven vanilla appliances, pretty much fleet grade actually.
way more than the ecoboost mustang comparison thats often floated around
I’m not gonna lie, as a BMW fanatic, I’d rather have an ATS-V coupe with a 6 speed over the M4/M3. What I really want to know is where these ‘teens’ that don’t care about vehicle dynamics, but rather a car that complements their ‘lifestyles’ are. Cadillac needs better marketing because the ATS and CTS are damn good to…
Sorry, I’ve made notes to try to explain things better:
I’m going to need a few more examples of cars that use that transmission before I can fully accept your position.
My question is do you think Toyota / Subaru made money off these cars? I know they sold fairly well, but did that offset the cost to engineer and produce them?
Exactly. How many people running their mouth will actually go and fuckin buy one with a turbo. People act as if Toyota would snap their fingers and BAM a road ready turbo 86 is available.
Tada has hinted at this and lots of people have written about this hint, but a strong connection it is not. We’ll see, in any event it will be 10 years before a 3rd sportscar actually comes out if Toyota’s development schedule stays true.
I will say that if this model gets a 2nd generation I will be shocked. Not that I will be upset, only surprised.
This. My 2.0t A4 is a 200hp turbo. Its objectively slow, but corners really well with some basic suspension mods (swaybars and poly/spherical links, sticky tires) so who cares if I theoretically get beat off the line by 60-70% of the cars around me? Its fast enough to have decent fun in and handles great. With the…
I cross-shopped my BRZ tS with the Porsche Cayman, but I know I’m in the minority. Even then I think the 86 twins have more than enough power, because I know it’s a modern AE86, and 86's really just need enough power to get up to speed and stay there. You don’t need more power if you’re already taking 25mph mountain…
To translate “Both Subaru and Toyota have bigger turbo cars available or in the pipe and we don’t want to eat sales of those vehicles. You will not get a turbo because we have WRX and Supra models to sell.”
