Yeah, that’s totally true. I tuned the GTI and while it’s a blast now, I do miss pushing it a bit more sometimes. Now, I still can but not if I want to avoid massive fines and jail time... I wish I had the money for autox and the lack of anxiety of stuff breaking (I drive a decent amount so mine’s at 116,000 miles in

Well you’ve just cemented my theory :)
In fact, I’m almost thinking you’re a troll.

A cayman is less practical than an 86. Where are you fitting a spare set of wheels?

OK, one more comment and I’ll stop, but I have to take issue with saying the handling of your Cobalt SS is better than an 86/FRS. Now, I’ll be upfront with the fact that my only experience with either car is during test drives (and I drove the two years apart), but I drove an FRS when I shopped for my last new car and

I road trip in this car all the time and fail to see what your issue with it is. The seats are quite comfortable for long trips. No, it’s not the most supple ride, but not everyone needs to be coddled by a Lexus-like ride on long trips. Personally, that puts me to sleep. A bit more connected-to-the-road feeling keeps

“A Cruze has similar performance metrics [to a BRZ].”

Nobody is going to take you seriously after that statement. You clearly have literally no concept of what makes the Twins so special.

You’re missing my point (as you’re probably aware), but OK. I’m not trying to rip on the cruze or hot hatches. I think they’re awesome and have their place. But they handle totally differently and do different things than RWD sports coupes. No way in hell would I have nearly as much fun driving canyons in a cruze as I

Haha, see, that’s fine, it’s just not *my* thing. I feel like I’d still have more fun bombing around in a Ferrari for the 3 seconds I legally can. Those few moments thrill me and I look forward to them (which might explain why my wife hates me... haha, kidding!) more than wringing out a car for super long.

Hahaha, I’m

Comparing an 86 to a Chevy Cruze hatch? Lolz. Apples and broccoli, right there.

So I’ll speak to the Fiesta ST since I own that and a BRZ. The BRZ and Fiesta ST are both an absurd amount of fun, but in completely different ways. It almost isn’t fair to compare them since the only thing they have in common are price points, and even that’s a stretch. The Fiesta is more fun to floor the throttle,

I think the main point of the article was that it’s not a convertible.

The BRZ is on my list for my next car, and the Miata is not. The only reason is the back seat. I have a medium sized dog, so when my wife and I travel it would mean leaving him at home without that seat. I totally understand your perspective, but my perspective is the opposite. Glad there are some choices!

If this car isn’t fast enough for you to drive in everyday traffic at any speed, you probably need to re-evaluate how you drive on public roads...

...or buy a Hellcat.

Yeah, that will surely come out even in the wallet department in the long run...

I put my kids back there.

I know several people well over 6 feet that fit in this car far better than in a Miata. And if the backseat really bothers you, fold it down. Porsche has been doing this for years with 911, and nobody seems to care.

One sentence later: “It’s more pure in purpose than the hot hatches and more pragmatic than the convertibles, though it is small.” Which is true. At the end of the day, this is RWD and those are not.

I thought they still came shod with the Michelin Primacy tires, which are the “Prius tires.”

FF already sponsors the Dragon Racing team in Formula E.

No need to wait for Faraday Future to make such silly things as a profit before they start sponsoring motorsports - they’ve sponsored the Long Beach FE race, as well as the Dragon Racing FE team.
