Don’t get me wrong, the WRC Yaris is awesome, (it sounds like the GAU-8 gun in the A-10 to me,) but the stock Yaris isn’t exactly a looker. And the US sporty hatch market just isn’t that big...

I’m from the good ol’ USA and I actually really enjoy RHD cars. It kind of makes sense - it’s a bit like a motorcycle. Your left hand and foot are for the clutch and shifter, and your right side (well, right foot) is for accelerating and braking.
Vitz turbo has been a thing for a very long time but it never makes it out of Japan, as far as I know. Certainly never made it to the US.
The FiST and Focus RS are doing well. I can see an angry Yaris selling well.
I’ll just take the one above. No worries.
We were five or six cars behind them at NEFR. Usually I wouldn’t get into the car until after watching them launch
I agree. Toyota has so much potential to bring back the fun, as does Honda. Mazda is still holding the torch for those of us who like to drive though. The Mazda 6 engine in the Mazda 3 with a manual is a pretty damn good driving experience.
My wife and I had a 2006 Malibu from 2008 to 2012 and it was so bad with so many problems that I wouldn’t even consider a Malibu or another Chevrolet car to this day.
Malibu. Say no more.
Bullshit. People are buying small cars. Just not GM cars. Funny how Subaru and Honda can make cars here and make a profit. GM should have been shuttered. The fact they went back to relying on SUVs and trucks to save them after all this is bullshit. I came from a GM loyal family, no more.
Correction, American’s don’t buy small GM cars**
Is GM making reliable cars yet?
No, it’s more cosmic than that. See, the universe requires balance. For every yin, there must be a yang. For every Friday, there must be a Monday. For every excellent microbrew, there must be a truckload of Natty Light. And for every BMW diving across multiple lanes of traffic with no signal, there must be a Toyota…
also, Corolla WRC
Toyota rally cars have a habit of sounding like that. bless their hearts.
Celica ST185 (early days of “modern” electronic controlled antilag
Question is, will anyone in the States buy it.
I have a new found respect for the little Yaris popcorn popper...
If Toyota can make the Yaris into a legitimate hot hatch, that would be amazing. And a lot of hard work as it’s only real strong point now is reliability. If they can keep most of the reliability, and add some hot sauce that would be a car I would be interested, in a Fiesta ST with Toyota reliability. I don’t give a…
