“with more aero than a Boeing factory”

Yeah, I’d order that rear wing, too.

Yes, and yes.

Did someone say Group B?

No faith?

The day we get a 917 in the Forza series may finally come!

Uhhh I come to Jalopnik for CAR NEWS, not snowplow news. This is garbage! I’m not renewing my subscription and will never visit Jalopnik ever again!

They still have a few brand new FJ Cruisers as well (discontinued in August of this year)...in fact their website is accidentally kind of a dick about it.

Now playing

I couldn’t get past the first sentence without singing:

Can confirm: Practicality, check. Safety, check. Fun, double-check+. Value, check and check. Doors make a sound when they close??, check?? Only 1500 miles in so far, car seat in back. First drive in the snow this morning, couldn’t wipe the smile off my face if you tried.

But, seriously, WRX

yeah... no. until someone wads it up and walks away throwing the big finger at 4 other guys suddenly out $20K.

I already have all the requisite pieces for not having my GTI’s interior wrecked which includes back seat covers, shields for the rear of my front seats and weathertech rubber mats. That and I get my car cleaned very regularly. Worked very well for my Volvo 240 which carried my sister and I around as kids and dealt

Fellow German lover here. You’re wasting your time. I tested an sti and even though I loved the power and looks, I couldn’t get past the terrible interior

I think most people greatly overestimate the amount of utility/cargo space they truly need in a car.

I am old, so this was a long time ago. 2004, if memory serves. Current cars may upend my expectations.

I had an E90 M3, too, and while that was a fast and very luxurious car (plainly in a different league than either the WRX or Golf R), I don’t know that I’d pick it as a single car over the Golf. Around town it

How is the WRX not the answer? Saying you want a German car because it’s ‘sturdy’ made me chuckle. If reliability and well built is what you’re looking for, along with fun, cheap, and practical (and seemingly good in the snow judging by the picture), how on earth is there a better choice than the WRX?

I wish McParland would add a little more information as to the buyers position on used vs new, expectations on maintenance and reliability, etc. Because a used Audi, Porsche or Volkswagen could be the most expensive 25 thousand dollar car she ever bought. The WRX and the GTI have the advantage in that she could buy a

No, no. They’re suggesting that a single mom take possession of a used AMG car, out of warranty...

This is right up there with those people claiming my work computer is being tracked and I need to give them my social, address, and credit card information so they can stop the tracking.
