I mean, we were comparing the M2 to the production A90. So you didn’t really fix anything and the comparison to the FT-1 is irrelevant.

Such as?

I think you’re giving his influence at the company less credence than it deserves. Toyota, as a company, does things very, very well. If they’re going to make a car for a purpose, they usually do pretty damn well at it. And they generally do it in an incredibly efficient and cost-effective manner. (Hence why so many

He’s a lifelong Toyota employee parroting the Toyota company line.

who wanted a mid-engine corvette?

People WANT a mid-engine Corvette. Most don’t want a V6 Supra, even if it means keeping it all Toyota.

That’s not what he said, just that it’s a difficult setup to package. Seemingly that sort of setup wasn’t in-line with that he wanted for this iteration of the nameplate, “That’s one of the reasons the new Supra is a two-seater, he said, unlike its predecessors that were 2+2s and more along the lines of grand

Obviously you haven’t read the incredibly convincing comments made by internet engineers that totally refute the decisions Tada has made. He’s clearly an imbecile. /sarcasm

Well hardly anyone else cared. They sold less than 1,000 units from 2008-2009.

I didn’t forget, but nobody really cared about the Caliber SRT4. The Speed3 is an excellent hot hacth. I was referring mainly to the current hot hatch market, which I think can largely be attributed to the initial success of the FiST/FoST.

Fair, though I always felt the WRX/STI was a bit big to be considered a hot hatch. They’re more of a wagon IMO.

Get an FR-S/86, they’re excellent at autocross and are surprisingly practical for a 2+2 sports coupe. I’ve fit two sets of unmounted tires and a set of 17x8 wheels in mine before. ;)

Detroit is getting arrogant again.

I really like the look of the new Corolla hatch. 10/10 would daily drive one. Getting a slightly sporty version, even if it’s just a TRD intake, exhaust, springs, and sway bars (maybe some new dampers to match the springs) would be pretty great. Offer us a TRD supercharger option and I’d buy one in a heartbeat.

When the FiST/FoST came out they pretty much made up the hot hatch market, along with the GTI. Since then we’ve gotten the Veloster R-Spec/N, Civic Type R (kinda hatchy), 500 Abarth, and a seemingly new hot hatch version of the Soul coming out. The segment seems to be on the rise, it’s a shame we’re losing the ST

Yep. I commented on it with the following gif

Ford can suck a fat one. This product strategy and marketing is bullshit.

Unfortunately I couldn’t in good conscience subject one to the salty midwest winters. :/

I still want to buy the FJ60 that is owned by the family of a good friend of mine. It’s in decent shape, but I’d love to restore it to a very nice condition and just daily it.
