From what I understand, it’s both. People have changed out the pans and still had issues. The pump just doesn’t get the volume into the engine that it needs to, this is more of an issue with FI cars or NA track cars that are really being pushed to their limits.

Dunno what makes you think I thought BMW was the only option. How about Mazda? Which is another company that Toyota owns a significant stake in and makes some pretty great 4 cylinders. Hell, Toyota had even considered them as the partner for the FR-S/BRZ.

Some other potential options: Honda, Ford, or Fiat.

All of those

The power really doesn’t bug me. I’m also a handling guy, and not nearly skilled enough at the track yet to even make full use of stock power. haha

Fingers crossed that Toyota picks a better manufacturer to partner with/source an engine from for an MR2 successor.

I hope they don’t partner with Subaru for an MR2 remake. How about a brand with a better engine to offer? Maybe someone like Mazda.

I enjoy my FR-S, and don’t really mind the torque dip or the need to run the car all the way through the rev range to squeeze every last one of the ~170whp it’s got. I understand why they

They specifically mention HKS Super Drager, which is only either a catback or axleback. Really it’s inconsequential, likely just a mistake/mixup with another car. Simply something I took note of.

1st Gear: From my perspective Trump’s outlook, and inability to understand the automotive market, is very similar to what led to the auto bailouts. Basically, the US marques don’t make vehicles that the market wants, which leads to poor sales, and then the government gets involved in an attempt to save them from their

I caught the expreme exhaust too, which makes it odd that the ad lists an HKS exhaust.

LOL

I’ve passed more than my fair share of stuck SUVs, crossovers, and trucks during Chicago winters, and my only car is an FR-S. Tires matter far more than vehicle or drive type. My small rwd “sports” car does amazing in the winter.

Except it’s not really Toyota dragging it out. Hardly any of the Supra articles are related to official teasers or press releases from the company, it’s every auto news site posting a new article any time a rumor surfaces on the internet (often seemingly regardless of the sources validity), spy shots are taken, or

I’m getting married in just over a month, and I’ve been pretty content with letting my fiance choose everything. This is the only thing that would be a must have for me, shame they aren’t available here in the US. :(

I’ve been to Vietnam, but clearly you’ve never heard of hyperbole. ;)

Echoing the Prelude. Literally every generation has the styling of an FR car.

Yeah, the scooter traffic there was insane. Especially in larger cities like Ho Chi Minh.

I specifically came to the comments to say something about how he could move to Vietnam with that $2.5M and live like a damn king for the rest of his life with plenty left over after he’s gone.

...good for somewhere around 200 horsepower. Perfect for a little Prelude, which weighed about 2,800 pounds stock.

It only works if you’re locking eyes with the hot girl in the passenger seat.
